Surprise Marching band

cornerofmadnessHow often does that happen? I had no idea Jackson was having a Christmas parade. I'm stuffing my clothing in a laundromat washer way too early in the morning (since Mom felt compelled to call me and wake me up in order to tell me she was going to be gone all night to a party) and I heard drum cadance. I look out the window and watch the Iron Men marching band coming down the street in Santa hats and red choir robes tossed over them. I watched them until I couldn't see them any more, thinking about my days in marching band.
Other than that today was a monotous bore of grading exams, grading papers, and crafting more exams. Finals you blow.
My one excitement was the fact I've lost my house key. Logically it is my apt since I'M in my apt but I have no idea where. I have a little table by the door and I alway set my keys there but the cats have been knocking stuff over so I'm not sure if they knocked it over or if I carried them somewhere and can't find them. I looked about didn't see them but a really good search ain't happening just now. I live so remotely who cares. No one will find this place, my neighbors all spy on one another and I ain't got shit anyone wants. A half dead computer? a VCR (yes, I said VCR) go nuts. The dvd isn't even blue ray. Guess that's the good thing when you own so very little, you don't much care.

fandom_stocking. And I'm not just talking to the anime portion of my flist. In fact, anime is underrepresented. I'm talking to the old schoolers. There is an amazing amount of Buffy requests here. It's stunning to see how popular Buffy remains a decade later (and let's not get into the 30-40 years later for the Star Trek/Star Wars franchise). I can't even list out all the fandoms that are there but there is plenty of jossverse and trek and ncis and criminal minds and dr who and vampire diaries and well just go look. I literally have 11 pages worth of stockings and that's me being very picky. I figure once I get my friends knocked down I'll pull a couple strangers out of the hat.
If you want to do something for ME this holiday (let me be presumptous) and you weren't keen on giving out your addy for a card exchange (or even if you were), my request for drabbles, art, icons and etc is here

*raises hand* ex marching bander. lions club parades, band camp, competitions etc. the whole 9 yards..
