Not off to a great start

I'm still in OH. I feel like hell warmed over. My sugar crashed in the middle of the night so there I am around five a.m. bouncing between forensic shows on ID and law and order on USA while I suck sugar pills and protein.

I got woken up this morning by State Farm to talk to me about my claim. Oddly enough they still haven't had time to talk to the person who hit me, three days later...Whatever I knew this wasn't going to be fast but the call made the kitties excited. They're bouncing everywhere ruining the morning routinue which means I couldnt just scoop up Soul and run (he's very hard to catch and it's traumatic for all involved)

I'm STILL nauseated even though my sugar is on the higher side now. I'm drinking breakfast and finishing off paying bills.

Speaking of which I called the automatic billing for most of my bills last night (remember the mail issue) and my American Broadband phone bill was 20$ more than normal. I call today to find out one was a 10$ late fee and one was a reconnection fee. WTF? Oh you were 2 weeks late on the bill last time, we disconnect you after that. One that's insane. I'm not even sure it's entirely legal to disconnect that fast. Two, I wasn't disconnected but she insisted I was. I call PA every night. EVERY night or my mother thinks I died. I think I would have noticed if I had no phone service. Is it too much to ask to have a phone service that wasn't the shittiest customer service ever? Guess I should be happy the customer service wasn't outsourced.

Hopefully i'll be better in an hour so I can get out of here and back to PA before it gets too dark. Naturally it's raining.

Ever since the ATT started buying up all the local phone companies, phone service has gone to shit, in my opinion. I had phone and dial-up internet through Verizon in the last place we lived for five years, and it was out more than it worked (including going out EVERY single fucking time it rained, at all), and the customer service was ghastly. I avoided like hell having to ever call at night or on weekends, because I inevitably got someone in India who not only didn't speak English well - or understandably - but also, I learned the hard way, gave bad or flat-out wrong technical advice. I would do what they told me, only to be told by the American reps the next day, when I called to bitch that it still wasn't working despite the fact that I had followed what they had told me to do to the letter, "oh, they shouldn't have told you that. I don't know why they said that." WTF? Why are you wasting not only my time but my money?!?!?! I was furious. Looking back, I am mad with myself that I put up with it for as long as I did - I should have told them to shove it up their collective corporate arse and switched carriers way before we moved. In fact, I did finally get so pissed I switched my phone & ISP to Cox about three months before we moved, and we've had that since and it's been virtually trouble-free, both in service and billing (although I would never get their cable service. Had it and hated it.)

Sorry you are feeling so crappy, and the weather isn't cooperating. At least it isn't snowing. Hope you feel better soon, and get the kittehs all stowed away without incident. Have a safe trip! (I'm sending your card to your mom's tomorrow.)

Yeah, sugar crashing can bring everything to a grinding halt for awhile. Just make sure you don't try to leave too quickly before everything is feeling better.
