not an auspicious start to the new year

I'm having one of those episodes where I wake up more exhausted than when I went to sleep and stay that way all day. I tried hard to do work. I got my tenure package at least ordered but i have a ton more to do there in under 2 weeks and I got one more lecture ready but not enough, no where near enough. The parents don't quite grasp how long this takes me and by the time I get back on the computer at 9-10 pm I'm too burnt to think it through.

Got dragged to grandma's today. It snowed. I wanted gyros but it was closed for the holiday. Sigh. We had to take her her new glasses which were just fine but at 930 at night she calls Lucky Uncle to tell him she's in trouble, the glasses don't work (they're the right RX and they were fine when I was there. she read the paper with them rather than talk to me...)

I'm just now feeling almost a live. perfect.

I really may have to remove every single subplot from my fma big bang. This sucks. I could have used another month with my work load. head desk

AND UGH... my sister will CONSTANTLY go back to me having a CRAP cheap apartment when I ONLY lived 50 miles away from my grad school.

Dad's playing solitaire on the computer trumped ME doing papers...

Ah well, I'm over it... and she seems to compare living in NYC to living in Tiny small town with cheap rents.

I can't change that.

yeah I hear that. I can't get work done at home either.

I'm fleeing off home. Today is snowing tomorrow isn't and I have to be at work at 8 on friday so...
