I'm looking for names of State Alchemists that were in the Ishbalan war.

I have Flame, Crimson, Strongarm and Iron Blood naturally. I know there was Silver and what was Marcoh? Crystal? Was there anyone else named?

And barring ones with names, can you come up with a couple names that sound reasonable for State Alchemists?

I can't think of any others who are named, at least not in the manga. As for naming patterns, hmm, there seems to be an elemental pattern to them --

And you're reminding me that my BB is totally ignoring the existence of alchemists who aren't Roy.

Yeah Marcoh is named as the Crystal War. Also, even though McDougal the Freezing Alchemist is Brotherhood based, I think you can get away with having him too.

As for reasonable names, one might be the Wind Alchemist (someone that specializes in air alchemy I guess lol).

Tangent: some people translate Kimbley's name, Guren in Japanese, as Red Lotus or Crimson Lotus - apparently "red lotus" is a literary way of describing an explosion in Japanese? I asked for the flist's thoughts on Kimbley's name ages ago when I was writing that Roy/Kimbley, and there was some fun discussion (http://bob-fish.livejournal.com/34973.html).

There's a list of State Alchemists on the FMA wiki here (http://fma.wikia.com/wiki/State_Alchemist). I think you got all those mentioned in Ishbal apart from Macdougal (whom you might not want to use). There's also Shou Tucker (Sewing-Life - super awkward English translation), but he wasn't in Ishbal.

Yes I knew that but this is first anime setting so I'm just going with Crimson for him.

no I don't think we do either. I just made up a few names. Roy's doing a recounting of them so that's all I really needed was names.

It seems you've got them all. ...I have a few bit-part alchemists who fought in Ishbal if you want to borrow their names (assuming you still need any) - the two female State Alchemists who appeared in that fragment I wrote you on the last meme were Bruna Mitsch, the Educing Alchemist, and Dolores Perry, the Electric Alchemist.

Your comment here to likeadeuce makes me laugh because in the fic I've been working on about Scar, both of them end up among his victims, along with the White Heat Alchemist (who hasn't received a name or personality from me yet, haha).

The FMA wiki (http://fma.wikia.com/wiki/Scar) says that he killed 5 alchemists in Central City and 5 in other places around the country before heading back toward the east, so it seems he was pretty prolific.

At least Mitsch first appeared in a fic about Kimbley. Perry was concocted just to have an encounter with and be killed by Scar in this fic I've been working on. I've got to make it up to her. ^^;
