what I didn't get done
1. watching the dumb netflix i've had for a week
2. cleaning anything

I've been sort of nauseous all day (and yesterday) I'm assuming my paresis is acting up. The sugar is. going from low to high and back again.

Well I did clean out the fridge and took out the cat litter which broke on the kitchen floor. Whee.

Mom is bored. The weather was bad there this weekend so her and dad decided to bag it and just stay up on the hill. I think she's called me ten times in 2 days and she's back to house hunting for me. (found nice ones. I need to go look at them in situ. I think they're too in the city for me)

Hey Angel & Buffy peeps, the owner of the Angel book of Days archive is moving it to AO3. If Justhuman hasn't contacted you and you did that challenge (boy was that a fun challenge) let me know. Frontline has failed for the final time. Anyone know how long that shit takes to kill fleas? One week later and all three still have them.

Sorry abotu your mom being bored. My mom works in a factory and gets OT like a boss, so on her weekends she sleeps most of the time and doesn't bother me. Good luck with the house hunting! (if nothing else, moving usually guarantees a clean place, throwing out junk and whatnot)

Also, forgot to mention that there's a pill you can get from the vet, I don't remember the name of it, but it kills fleas overnight. It's like $7 usually. Other than that, you'll have to wrangle them all into the tub and dip them, which is a bitch and a half with a water loving dog, so I can't imagine doing it with water hating cats.

Capstar is the 24 hour pill. Dips are so toxic, I would very highly suggest finding another way to keep them parasite-free.

Frontline only kills the ones that jump on and bite. If there are enough bedded in the carpets, etc. they'll just keep coming in fresh waves/laying more eggs. Certain areas of the country are also reporting higher and higher incidence of Frontline resistance. I've heard good things of Comfortis, which is an oral pill. Of course in shared housing there are always the fleas brought in by other tenants that keep finding food sources in your place with your cats, too. Thankfully we've been able to keep control of things here with frontline in warm months. Hope you can find a solution.

According to my crazy cat lady buddy, who has never had fewer than six cats at any given time as long as I have known her, bombing the house a couple of times a season is the only real way to get rid of fleas - there are pyrethrin based ones that are not all that bad.

One natural alternative that supposedly works is cedar oil - you put it around the house, like soaking little hunks of cloth with it or putting on the carpet itself, if you aren't worried about a few small oily spots, and it repels the fleas- horse breeders use it in stables because it's one of the few things that is non-toxic enough for the horses, but still gets rid of the fleas. Has to be real cedar oil, but there are lots of places online that carry it, and some health food stores and feed & seed or tack places might carry it.

We stopped using Frontline this year. The last time we used it they got exactly 0 relief and were still crawling with fleas two weeks later, and we were still getting jumped on ourselves and picking them out of socks. We switched to Advantage and they were clean by the next day and not recurrence since.

We got it at SuperPetz and it was cheaper than frontline. Also we were able to buy the number of single doses we needed instead of having to buy three when we only have two cats and were coming into the fall months.

weight off wise, have been working out good, eating not so good since I got over here. Room service etc. however, could share the egg white oatmeal pancakes, I thought they were great.. I`m always looking for low carb, non heavy egg and fat bfsts..

no not all my stuff. not even close. (most of it is on FFN, an archive I like much better except for the no-sex thing). All my Angel Book of Days stuff is up. Let me look into linking it up since that stuff should all be together. It's an older archive (as in I was still in FL when I wrote for it so 2001-2004) and I guess she's moving it all to AO3

I do not believe anything of Hyperion's Son is on AO3. it fucks up chapter fic so often I quit bothering for the time being.
