My computer ate the partial rough draft of my belated (by a lot) first exam and I had to redo everything. Thank god I was off. I got that exam done. Got the second one for friday started.

I'm tired and crabby. I thought Roy was sick since he didn't move since about 10 last night until 8 tonight. I mean seriously didn't move even when I walked past him (he was sleeping in the traffice lanes of the apt). THe other cats gave him a wide berth. He seemed okay when he finally got up.

Mom is seriously going to kill my dad over grandma's house. Her brother might help. thank god we have plenty of land to bury him on. Mom also gave away one box of my books to my cousin. I was not pleased. I was probably going to give them to him anyhow but those were my series and I wanted to sort thru them.

She did find my great grandma Giuseppina's alien registeration paperwork complete with thumb print (who knew) and picture. We also learned that she had a sister we never knew about (mom naturally forgets the name) We knew her mother and son remained in Italy but we didn't know about the sister. My great great grandmother was named Judith. It's very odd. We don't know if that is an anglicization of an Italian name but if it is why is she the only one? Was she English? A European Jew? I wish I knew. She's who my mother is named for.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ital_gal for this link. My dad's side of the family is from here. Abruzzo (Alanno speficially) I still have family in Italy but I do not know them. That saddens me. How frightening was it for my great grandma to leave her home know she would never again see her mother or siblings and sail across an ocean to a place where she barely spoke the language?

And hey it's my Release Day check it out I think I might be able to get some ebook review copies. The one thing I ask is that you do please review if you ask for one, either on goodreads and/or Amazon.

Maybe Roy just needed some recovery time. From what, I don't know.

Your computer is truly evil. Back everything up to a thumb drive or sky drive. Yeesh!

Time for a Chloraseptic lozenge and bed.

My father on my mothers side is Italian. He's from Petra Santa, in Tuscany ( i think...) :)

It saden's me that i don't know the family members that are still there as well.

And good luck with the rest of your exams! :)

Wow. Just wow.

My family has been in the US since around 1700s.
