Didn't get much done

Partially thanks to the time jump, partially thanks to a headache but mostly because I just wanted one day off this week to not do things. It was beautiful out but the neighbors were out there being pissy little bitches so I didn't go out. I swear to god I feel like I'm in middle school with them.

I got some cleaning done but this place is so wrecked it looks untouched. God. I did have an unexpected issue and I wasn't prepared for a faceful of dust and now my eyes are swollen up bad. The fresh bag I put in the sweeper a couple weeks ago didn't stay in place but naturally I don't know that until I see dust coming out from around the hepa filter on the vacuum. I open it up and the entire cavity is FILLED with dust, cat/human hair and stray litter, spilling out into huge piles. I'm like man I hope to heck I can get this working (i did.)

I got some junk mail from a gardening club (I get it every year and have yet to ever join) this year they sent me cosmo seeds. I can't wait to start planting. I have strawberries to plant tomorrow, so I hope it's still nice out. I just didn't feel like being out with those people. they're the ones I didn't like before all the mess started.

thanks. People keep telling me that and I keep thinking but I've done nothing.

The yearly count is only for original fiction. I don't keep count of the words for fanfic (I do an end of the year round up in Jan for that).
The number is very arbitrary. I have noticed facebook and other online distracts have dented my writing ability AND I wanted to edit this time so people on the flist suggested a lower count to reflect it so that's where I came up with that. I'll be over it this year unless something goes seriously wrong in November (where I do nano every year)

what a name you got. The Hunger Games is the first in a YA dystopic trilogy that people are losing their minds over because 'it's just that good.' Really? It isn't. It was all right, IMO but derivative of Battle Royale and Stephen King's The Running Man. Though, people are treating it like it's the defining gem of dystopic fiction much like some have done with Twilight and vampires (though I think Hunger Games is at least well written if weak on how physiology works, the less I say about Twilight the better since I have fans on the list)
