I spent it doing laundry and talking to the librarians that I like. They're making positive changes to the library. YAY. Also one of the houses I had planned to go look at is on the librarian's road so she was telling me about the neighborhood. Good stuff. Bad thing - was a rental house that got fucked the hell up. It might be too big of a project for the money they're asking. We'll see. Worth investigating.
My brother got a TomTom (this is the guy who didn’t want one) AND he loaded up Mr Burns’s (from The Simpsons) on it. It actually has lines of dialogue and goading to go along with it. He told me I could get Darth Vader. Okay you know what I’m getting myself for my birthday!
And I caved to the little voice that said but you WANT to live in Athens. Mom went to look. Almost all the houses were in the 400-500K range. O_O I knew it was expensive but not that crazy. We're looking just outside of it now but I'd have to factor in gas prices (though I could car pool with EB and RI which would be nice for all three of us with the exception of the fact that EB likes to get up at 5AM).
Went to put in some grades. Didn't get as much done as I'd like.
Also found out I did a very fucking stupid thing. I forgot and left my windows in the car down. Well I'm not shocked. When I got home last night I was tired and I might have to retract the soporific comment about the speaker. My sugar when I tested it before bed was 400. It HAD to have been even higher then. No wonder I left the windows down. Thank god only in the back. So not only did I have a scare the shit out of me sugar episode I ruined the seats in the back of my car. Fuck.

Date: 2012-05-05 09:03 pm (UTC)We bought a house that needed a lot of work - most of it still needs to be done. I really want to update and fix, but it takes money, skills I don't have, and figuring out where to put the furniture and kids while I do it.
It looks AWESOME in my head, though. And the neighborhood is nice enough. [chuckle]
