Mom made it home safe

We took it out on the garden before she did though. Last year it went to hell because of my shoulder but together (thanks to a wonderfully cool morning) we got it knocked back and cut down the elm growing out of my foundation (poor Elm, i felt bad). We threw out some crap on the porch that dry rotted over the winter or broke.

Then we sat around feeling depressed. She wants to go home and check the job ads. When i called dad to tell him mom was on the way home, he said the same thing. They're not even asking me to come home. They just want me out of here.

I'm not doing a writerly way this time. I'm sure no one will miss it but I will say this. 1. Two Tickets to Paradise the vacation anthology I'm in is up for a Rainbow Award for best romance so that's exciting. 2. I edited everything i'm supposed to except ties that bind 3. And because I am a Gemini I DID change my mind and decided to do camp nano after all. Oddly unlike the nov. nano, which I take seriously, I don't with the camp. It's probably the word 'camp' that makes it more fun than serious. I thought about it and said if I get five thousand more words on my vampire novel that's five thousand more words. It's freeing to not care at all about 'winning' So I'll be doing the prequel to my short story 'Crisis in Faith' since there's a very good chance that DSP will publish it. Whatever I get, it's more than I have now, right?

I think that's mostly what I'm doing with Camp Nano as well. *laughs* My writing has been measly the past couple days and I don't really expect to make 50k words. But it's writing, so I can't complain!
