How can days off suck so bad?

I thought Soul's further regression and getting up way too early was going to be the worst of it but no. I go do laundry only to find out the library (where i go while the washers do their thing) was closed for cataloging. Wouldn't a sign about that have been a good thing last week as warning.

Fair enough, I go around looking at more houses because I'm a glutton for punishment and a couple new ones had popped up. Sadly nothing I wanted as it turns out but in finding a super trailery one in a location I liked, I see one by the realtors I'm using right next door, a nice looking brick one probably circa the 1960's or 70's. I come home to look for it but it's a) over 150K (good luck with that one) b) too new to be on the site c) under contract. Sigh. I'll ask about it.

I get home having to really pee (since the bathroom in the laundromat is spidery and just oh hell no, i'll wet myself first dirty). This isn't good in a diabetic with 40+ year old plumbing. I hustle in thinking about Sheldon's "I am the master of my own bladder." Kanda runs up like I've been gone for 2 days instead of 2 hours. I try to keep him from running between my legs. Just as I thought I've managed it, he darts in and I catch him in the ribs. He goes flying. I fall down on my belly thinking I am no longer the master of my own bladder. Secondly thinking fuck cheap carpet gives such rug burn.

Then mom calls to tell me Rogue (her cat) may have feline leukemia (apparently their vet only draws blood on wed). Dad is very upset. That his little buddy. We knew he was sick. At first we thought maybe he had a bad tooth since he didn't want to eat b ut would eat tuna. I thought maybe he could have a tick-bourne disease since he is an indoor/outdoor cat. He definitely has an infection. They put in an IV since he was dehydrated and gave him antibiotics but dad said yesterday he started getting wobbly on his feet so if he does have FIV he's really far gone. I'll be surprised if he lives the week. He is such a good cat. sigh.

But there IS good news. I took anat_astarte's title suggestion (THANK YOU) and made a book cover for my camp nano. Okay I made it in paint and in spite of using a 36 font size it was unreadable because Paint is rubbish. evil_little_dog made it so you can actually see the dumb thing (THANKS!)




Also I finally went back to fairmont Cemetery in Jackson (I got lost there looking for apts 6 years ago and never went back). It's not really a taphophile's dream but there are parts i didn't see. It had the NARROWEST roads ever and you can't really pull off because the sides are too steep and even if you do people still can't get around you. I'm not sure how you're meant to tend graves here. I did get a few cool photos





I was surprised to see the slot graves here so close to the newer part. There was something fascinating about the crumbling brick.

there were two of the slot graves but i couldn't get them both in frame but look at my car. Yes the road is THAT narrow. I have no idea how a hearst gets through.

These were some of the prettiest of the bunch and the least damaged.

I was trying to get out of the cemetery which is maze like (as per usual) and ended up inching around a hairpin turn with a drop off that belongs on a mountain somewhere and it took me to this

Oh I want to go back and exam this one (If I can find a place to park. I might just park at the office and hike) because this kind of creeped me out in a good way.

Okay I'm going to sit here and try to write while listening to Madonna (don't judge, it was the first 80's cd to hand. They say you're forever imprinted on the music of your early teens...it helps. It takes me back to a time when i was young and anything was possible).

Yeah, today was a flustercuck on this end, too. Maybe it's that full moon or something. Sorry to hear about your dad's cat - hope it turns out ok. I had to take my two younger ones in for shots and such this morning -nearly broke my back carrying the two little fatties in the same carrier. Gracie (the gray tabbie) has gained two lbs. I'm going to have to get her a little treadmill or something...

The pictures reminded me of something I've been meaning to ask you for ages -- do you know another FMA fanfic writer named pan-zareta? Her name is different on ff.net - Miss Woodford. She writes mostly Ed/Win. The reason I ask is she loves to take lots of photos of graveyards like you do - her DA account is full of them. She's also a fellow cat lover. She was my first real anime friend, guess I've known her for at least five years now (seems like longer...)
