Days ticking away

Still getting nothing done. I am still busy dragging my heels while simultaneously trying to type A my whole vacation down to the last minute. I'm not a we'll get done what we get done, leave the plans open sort of person. This is very stressful to me. Next time i know if I'm going this far maybe a tour group with a meticulously laid out plan is better for me.

I didnt' get near done on my lecture today since we had to go to see grandma. She wasn't too bad today probably because dad had 2 dvds of the old super 8 home movies that Costco converted. It was nice to see them. too bad dad was being an ass otherwise. I wanted to break in the black crosstrainers so I had on socks with my shorts. Yes they didn't look the best but who cares? we're going to an old age home. After the fourth shit remark i took them off. so much for that.

I keep feeling like I'm forgetting something but I don't know what it is, something for the trip? for work? for fanfiction? oh well

That's good to know that Costco does that conversion - the hubs has a ton of super 8 movies that he found in his mom's house after she passed away that he's been wanting to get converted to DVD form. The places I looked at online back in 2007 when we first thought about it were very pricey.

Hope you can de-stress a bit before your trip. What you are going through is a lot of why I've dragged my feet about our Great Britain trip up til now - afraid by the time my feet hit the tarmac at Heathrow I'd be totally wiped and unable to enjoy any of it.

it wasn't cheap but it wasn't super expensive either. And once ondvd you can probably rip to computer once dvd players go the way of thevcr

i probably won't destress until i hit the other side. I do know that if I were going for fun alone i would take one of those preplanned tours and let them make all my choices for me

When's your departure date for Wales again? If it's any help, just remember when you get there that if you need to know anything, get anywhere, or even book a room somewhere, there's a Tourist Information Centre in just about every town. The staff in these centres are very helpful, and if nothing else, you can always get maps, bus schedules and advice about what's worth seeing there. It took a ton of stress off my shoulders when I went to England to know that I could just roll into any town, go straight to the info centre, and come out again with a room at a B&B and a rough itinerary. The USA should have such a helpful system in place for foreign tourists :P.

however in London I will have a day to myself. I figure bob_fish will point to the right tube and I'll go off on my merry way to Westminster and the tower of london
