Kanda still won't look at me except of course if SOUL is trying to sit on me. Then he lumbers over to intervene. Of course, if he tries to eat, Soul stops him. Head desk. This is the first time I've ever owned more than one animal at once. It's crazy.

Today was spent in editing, lecture making and shopping. Sunday is food day. Unlike ELD who takes a more European buy food as you go attitude, I ended up with Grandma's method of hoarding food. I could support my whole flist for a while...

Also Big Lots was having 20% off everything today. Sadly they're limiting their cleaning supplies while expanding their food. I don't want their food. It's either past the use by date or from Mexico or something. blech.

I am really enjoying Deadman Wonderland on CN. Too bad it's half bleeped out. and I just checked on Amazon. The manga for this is over 70$ a copy now that pirating put Tokyopop out of business (as if anyone would pay that).

I had a bizarre dream. I was in a city, one that I knew (I'm thinking Madison) and I had run away from my job and hid out inside a building by sneaking into the garage. I got caught but they asked me to start seeing patients again but I was only doing toe nails and calluses like a pedicurist. I kept telling the doctor I worked for that I couldn't see real issues like diabetic wounds any more because technically I had no license to practice medicine (I no longer do). I went back in the next day going down the hallway (as opposed to the garage) and it was insanely tall, like 20 foot ceilings that seemed to grow and all the offices were empty except for a florist shop and this doctor's office.

I was going back to tell them I just couldn't DO this. I'd get caught and go to jail because I had no license but they didn't want to let me leave and the doctor looked just like my vet. From there it devolved into pee dreams...

Mostly because I'm afraid what I get will rot if I get a lot of it, so I don't. Except for canned goods. I have a lot of those, and noodles.

Oh, meat generally goes in the freezer here, where it gets forgotten, and eventually comes out to feed the dogs.

Since it's pretty much impossible to get legally and now on the second hand market, so the owners of the IP don't get the money... I may have to look for it in the "free" channels. I loathe piracy but at this point, it's just not out there.

Saiyuki is older and sadly Reload never finished. The mangaka has had severe health issues (they had to, unless I misread something, remove and rebuild her jaw among other things)

Ouran's manga is much better than the anime IMO mostly because it DOES have a dark element to it. If you read past the silly shit, there is actually a lot of darkness and sadness in their lives.

DGM is nigh on to incomprehensible now.

I can bring toilet paper to the hoarding. I get it from my mom. When she died and we were cleaning her house, we found so much toilet paper we didn't need to purchase any for six months or so... and we halfed it with my brother! I guess I got my ulcerative colitis from her, too.

OCCASIONALLY, I could find good food at Big Lots. However, I am a scrupulous sell by date checker when there.

I have to grocery shop every week. I buy no canned foods and no frozen foods other than I freeze my meats.

I'm not kidding. You look in my freezer, and it is all meat except for one bag of frozen broccoli that someone other than myself put there, and nobody has touched in 7 or 8 months, and one little bag of frozen edamame beans that I got for that recipe you shared and haven't ever remembered that I liked it and want to make more. Everything else is meat.

I don't buy prepared boxes of food. I cook everything myself from fresh. I don't use pasta or rice in anything that I cook because I'm insulin resistant, so basically, everything has to fit in the fridge. I admit to buying individual cups of flavored yogurts, but I am thinking about putting a stop to that practice too. If only I could get the store to carry normal plain yogurt that isn't "Lowfat" (read as: Has added sugar to replace the fat and doesn't taste as good as the real stuff) in a big tub.

I have to go grocery shopping this evening after my meeting in fact. Yup.

Contrarily, I'm pretty sure that I would NOT be prepared for the Zombie Apocalypse should it occur, as I would quickly run out of edible food, and have to start eating other people myself to survive once everything in the stores rotted. Hahaha!

I'm pretty sure I'd lose weight though, between running from Zombies and chasing living people to kill for food. (That and being on a protein primary diet again).
