the new faculty advisor for the brand spanking new URG Anime club. I got an email out of the blue this morning begging me to be the advisor. How funny since this weekend I was just thinking I know I have a few anime fans in my science students (who were oddly cluesless about this new club) and I wanted to see if they wanted to be in a club.

Even weirder I saw a sign before I got the email posted near the stairwell for tsubasacon in Huntington WV, the same weekend as Bob Evans Farm Fest(I think) which means I have 3 day weekend. I might trot out Madame Christmas and go or just plain go as is.

ANd here I thought it would be a bad day when I was driving to work and a cloud looked exactly like an upraised fist giving me the middle finger.

Speaking of anime and the such, last night I was overwhelmed by the urge to reread the Even a Worm arc of Saiyuki reload, still one of my favorites.

And I'm slow. I know i have TONS of stories to transfer to Ao3. Last night I finally got the bright idea of c&p them there as people find and like my stories on FFN. Yeah sure I could ALWAYS go to my files or ffn and does this but I never remember. this way I can get a few over at a time (especially given what a pain in the ass AO3 is)

did i mention I brought all my plants to the greenhouse at work since it's supposed to hard freeze tonight? Well in doing so I noticed something a bit odd. I bought these duds of strawberry plants from Big Lots in April. They've been in this pot doing nothing all year. NOW they have blooms and berries. Um, dude, you are confused.

I picked about a quart jar full of sun sugar tomatoes (golden cherry tomatoes) when I came home from Paducah.

I will have to ask my cousin's daughter if she's been to tsubasacon. I think she has. A while back, they wanted me to make a cosplay outfit for her. I told them, buy one online from someone who knows what they're doing. (I didn't have the time nor did I want to deal with the endless array of BS they'd heap on me.)

My "never ending strawberry" plants have coughed up a couple of berries lately. I think they are insane. I'm half tempted to bring them into the house to see if they'd keep spitting the berries out.

Your strawberry plants were probably messed with (forced into bloom in a greenhouse with artificial lights) by the grower to make them look pretty on some store's shelves before they got relegated to Big Lots. No wonder they're confused.

Congrats on being faculty adviser to the anime club. 'Cause you didn't have enough on your plate already ;-). Seriously, though, it sounds like it'll be fun. And it gives you the perfect excuse to unleash your inner geek in public.

AO3 is a fanfic hosting site and it's the new in thing because it allows the porn while ffn doesn't. I don't like it but as time allows I'm putting stuff there too. can't ever have enough readers
