I went back to do more laundry today to get back on schedule but didn't remember until about an hour ago that I won't be here the next 2 saturdays so why bother? At least the owner was there and I got back my lost money.

Got home and got sicker than I'd been all week, headachy and exhausted. I feel better now at least and I did get a lot of recorded tv watched. Sadly that included the last of Inspector Lewis for a while. I really like that show. I got another whole lecture done and started another. Progress.

I'm a little worried about Kanda. He has a couple lumps on his back. They've been there a while and I think they're lipomas (they are moveable which is good, cancer usually isn't). That's not the worry. I was petting his belly just now and my finger dipped in one spot. I sure as hell hope that's not a hernia. I can't afford hernia surgery espcially with replacing this computer looming on the horizon.

I'm trying to get a handle on my meals better to a) control intake of healthy meals b) not to waste food. I have a bad habit of looking up recipes buying the stuff, not remembering what the recipes are then make crap and waste food. Going to start writing stuff down and pinning it to the fridge.

I did find a really interesting new soup, Campbell's has a new line of gourmet soups and the thai coconut tomato soup is really good. It has the slightly spicy, rich coconut milk and keffir lime flavors of thai food mixed into the creaminess of tomato soup. I'm betting it's full of fat and sugar (oddly enough I didn't look) but it was good.

Also, the FMA reverse big bang put up the art claims today and wow, really nice stuff. I even looked at the pairings I knew I wouldn't write just to see what they had come up with. gorgeous. I can probably guess who three of them are. It'll be interesting to see what comes of this.

ANd since the subject line promised Caturday here we go. I couldn't find Kanda earlier and here he was someplace he never is:

Hope Kanda's ok... Our older doxie, Hannah, is covered in lipomas. Cletus developed what I hope is one last year by his pecker, but his needs a professional eye, as it feels a bit different than hers. Alas we can't afford anything right now. Not even ourselves.

thanks. Kanda isn't in any pain that I can tell so he may have to wait a few weeks before I call the vet because I'm right there with you.

He was feral, born on my porch and as a kitten would always hiss and growl whenever I'd try to get into my own apartment. He was so snarly and grumpy he just had to be Kanda. Then when he was about 3 months, I gave him a toy. He killed it. The next day he ran into my apartment and I can't get him to leave

It does. I didn't even realize that Lewis had his own show. I loved Inspector Morse back in the day (though if I had been Lewis I would have shot the man, just saying)
