I almost didn't vote

Mostly because I should have been in the hospital. I check my blood sugar every night before I got to bed. Last night it was over 500. I should have gone straight to the ER. But I didn't want to be there all day today. I didn't want to call for an ambulance, nor did I really want to drive. I took my insulin and went to bed, figuring either I live or I die. I should probably care but honestly, not as much as you'd think. I told my students about the incident and they're all nurses. They got to yell at me. I think they enjoyed it. It wasn't high in the morning but it is now. It's taking it out of me. I think that's the reason I'm really pushing to get a novel done and out there. I'm beginning to wonder how much time I'm alloted.

Also am beginning to wonder if i have a kidney stone.

I DID however vote and I didn't even break a machine. All the people working the place wanted my necklace (one I had made myself)

Came home made another exam and haven't written a word yet tonight because frankly that episode has wasted me.

Maybe tomorrow i'll be perkier but that rattled me today

I so know how you feel. I mean, you've read my journal... you know me.

Kidney stone? Oy! I can empathize on that as well. I've had around four, two each. My cousin and a friend both have Crohn's Disease. Dave said he had 50 stones per kidney last year. Michael went into renal failure and he is about three or four years younger than I am.

On a side note, renal calucli pass through the lab where I work... last week, there was one that, I shit you not, was the size of a pea. A PEA! Like, 1/4". OMFG!

No clue. HIPAA and all that, wot wot. I really, REALLY hope it was a female patient (I can't remember the person's gender) and that it was a bladder calculi... however, it was a kidney stone.... *Faints*

You and my hubby both. He has a kidney stone - his 5th or 6th - and has been miserable all week. Yesterday he had a stint put in and will have the sonic blaster tomorrow. Needless to say, he almost didn't vote either, but I drove him to the polls. It makes no difference in our totally red county, but at least PA overall went correct. :)
