I wanted to say THANK YOU  to all of you who voted for me in the Bedtime story awards Reader choice awards, for short under 2500 word stories (and again the ol' Flist did well especially [livejournal.com profile] bashipforever  who totally kicked butt). This to me is the mystery of awards, getting best author/story and yet really not winning in the categories. It's happened to me before and every time I just kinda go huh? But hey, who am I to fuss about pretty awards?

Armor won the bronze for best pov. It's rfrom Queen C's pov as she comes back to school for the first time after getting impale in the old factory.

And then I got the bronze and a gold in the two author specific categories

so cool.

And apropos of nothing, my new class are much more entertaining and easy to work with. They are eager to learn, they participate, they can't use a microscope to save their souls but you can't have everything.

I can't remember if I did vote at these awards (go me, why don't you ignore the site where you're nominated, Leni? *facepalm* These last months are a blur). But normally Best Author is sort of a compendium for me, so if I voted for someone as Best Author (or Best Overall Fic), I'll only pick her in other categories if her story is beyond amazing.

Well, that's me. And congratulations, sweets. Best Author and Best Story, wow. *bows*

that's okay I had to ASK how the hell the voting worked because I couldn't figure it out. Thanks for explaining your system though. I know I voted for you and pretty much everyone on the flist but for what I dont' have a clue any more

and thanks

It's great that teaching is what it should be this term. Maybe the first one was some sort of initiation....

thanks. And yes I'm learning to like this new class but sadly I'm having the devil's own time remembering their names

Ah, can't blame you. At least you take the time and trouble to remember their names. Most of our teachers don't, one even told us once : I don't know your names and i hope i never will.

he's such a *******.

Oh that is cold. We get evaluated by our students here. Now whether or not administration pays any attention to it is up for debate but if I said something like that I could imagine student outcry and rightfully so

Hah, if we said anything, all they'd say is, "so what? This is uni, deal with it."

Like once we went to complain about having 2 days with 9 hours of lessons, STRAIGHT, NO BREAKS. All they said was "you're full time students" . Wouldn't THEY have been on to their unions fast if THEIR breaks were cancelled???

In America things have slid over to students rights...almost too much so. It's becoming crippling to the teachers.

Yeah, exaggeration on either side isn't good.

But the state of depression students are in over here is pitiful.
