Valentines Drabbles

Amazingly I managed to keep most of these to under NC-17 and are hopefully not TOO sappy sweet. The second to the last one is R and the last IS NC-17 so you've been warned. Enjoy.

 

Angelus/Darla 1861

"Can I take the blindfold off?" Darla asked.

"In a moment, love." Angelus eased the band of velvet from around her face. He waved a hand towards the bed. "For you, love."

He had tied the handsome young man Darla had been eyeing in the square the night before, to their bed. The man’s naked body was covered with rock candies, Necco wafers and candy buttons. A heart shaped box rested on his chest.

"He’s lovely," Darla purred.

Angelus tapped the box, "Chocolate, new this year, for after you’re done with his beating heart. Happy Valentine’s Day."

 

"My special boy." Darla kissed him.

 

* Okay so maybe Darla’s more like Spike and like to eat. Gives me a chance to show I know that’s the year the heart-shaped candy box was invented by Mr. Cadbury.

Spike/Dru 1927

"I’ve got a treat for you, pet," Spike said, wondering what bloody idiot invented Valentine’s day. Some stupid pounce who had to set aside a day for romance because it was the only way he was going to get his end away. And he was an even bigger fool for keeping the tradition every year.

 

He presented her with a black silk party dress with geometric art deco designs. Dru had been dying to dress like a Flapper and he hadn’t wanted to share her body with anyone. The way her eyes lit up was all the thanks he needed.

 

Willow/Xander Grade School

Willow pranced excitedly back to her desk and emptied out the heart covered bag, eager to see all the valentines she had received. Her seven year old heart shattered. The bag was entirely empty. Through teary eyes she watched as her classmates opened their Valentines. The class was a whirl of activity and fun around her but no one wanted to include her.

"Willow." Xander held out a card, a shy look in his eyes. "I wanted to give it to you special."

G.I. Joe adorned his valentine and it was the most wonderful card in the world. "Be mine."

Buffy/Angel S 1

"Could this day get any worse?" Buffy groaned, picking twigs out of her hair as she stomped her way into Angel’s mansion. "First Ms Evans gives a biology test that I totally forgot about, then Giles is all on some uber training spree until Ms. Calendar distracted him, which ewww. And then I get attacked by the three stupidest vampires in the world on my way here."

 

Angel just smiled and let her rant, then reached behind the couch and pulled out a tie-dyed red bear that held a big bag of caramel hearts. "Happy Valentine’s Day, Buffy."

 

"Awwww, Angel."

 

Spike/Willow S 4

"Watching cricket on Valentine’s day?" Willow asked, not surprised to see Spike sprawled on Buffy’s couch when she popped over to deliver the homework she had done for her.

 

"Nothing better to do. Slayer’s out with Riley and Joyce and Dawn are in L.A," Spike sighed as the TV announcer muttered something about the ‘crack of leather on willow.’ He smirked at her. "Now that sounds like a fun idea."

"Oh really?" She leaned over tugging on his leather belt. "Want to give it a try?"

 

"Don’t tease me."

"My vamp self isn’t the only bad girl" Willow licked her lips. " Let’s play."

Connor/Faith Post NFA

Connor’s eyes widened seeing the leather collar draping chains and glittering jewels down to outline Faith’s breasts.

"Let’s see, I’ve got you a fleece lined blindfold, fur lined cuffs because heaven help me if I bruise up daddy’s little boy too badly." She smiled wickedly. "Of course the ‘whips of Oz’ collection sort of defeats that idea. Feather ticklers, Japanese Clover clamps, strawberries and champagne flavored body lotion. And this." Faith slapped the blue crystal latex vibrator in her hand.

Connor eyed it like he was wondering where she thought that was going then held out his hands. "My Valentine."

These are all great but especially the W/X drabble. I almost started crying when poor Willow didn't get any Valentines... but then her Xander came to the rescue. *sniffles*

Grr. I hate that antiquated practice. I was overjoyed to learn that my (then in 2nd grade) daughter's teacher wouldn't permit the sending of valentines. She had each student make a valentine for her/his parent/s.

Loved the drabbles. Loved Spike's gift - he seemed to focus on non-vamp gifts for V's day. Loved the W/X, and enjoyed the tasty W/S.

Thanks. Seriously, I remember being 7 and getting like 3 valentines and I'm still scarred from it. Yes Spike liked to shower Dru with gifts so I figured it fit. The W/S was on a challenge.
