Kanda has had a hard day

It started with the apt getting stuffy after this morning's storm knocked out the power. Luckily, it came back on quickly enough and by 11 AM all the black clouds were gone.

I went to do laundry and Kanda panics because I have to get all the laundry stuff back in the car and I think he thinks I'm packing for another trip. He goes and hides. I get there and this guy is sort of half in the way and he starts apologizing to me because he has one machine unplugged so he can charge his phone. He and his wife split and he turned off all the utilities on her and now no one can have electricity or a shower and he doesn't want to turn it on because he's going to trucking school in Indiana (haha ELD, he'll be your issue) in a few weeks so why pay the 300$ to turn it back on and he really needs that training because he worked for Giovanni Pizza and got fired in a day for not learning the menu and then got fired from the trucking place because he could only power wash 3-4 trucks a day. He and his cousin went to nursing school (cousin is now a nurse practioner) and he dropped out because he didn't want to wipe old people's butts and his wife got a restraining order on him because he filed for divorce and he can't see his son. now his wife wants to meet him at McDonald's but he has a very bad feeling because he thinks she's going to do something to him so should he go? Meanwhile I'm jamming cloths into the machines at top speed before this guy tells me MORE of his life story. WTF?

When I get home, he greets me but as I get ready for lunch, I don't see him behind me and I brought my foot up and he gets kicked square in the face. I try to apologize (as if he can understand) and he flattens to the ground and goes and hides some more. He forgives me 3 hours later.

Then later Kanda was on the lip of the tub chasing his tail. I always tell him no because he'll fall in. Well, he fell in and his whole bottom half is soaking. And he keeps glaring at me like I somehow made him fall.

As for me, my blood sugar went sky high to counter act the low of the other day and I'm suddenly nauseous even though nothing I ate tonight should have caused issues. Bah.

yeah I know. It's very hard on the animal to travel in the cargo hold. I question why a pet needs to come along on vacation. It's only a matter of time before there is a fatality as a result

I bet hard for a pet to travel whether it's on board in the cargo hold, but not everyone can be in the same space with them. They won't let you have peanuts if they know there's a person with an allergy on board, should be the same for a pet. And you're right; why bring a pet along in the first place? There are places to board them, pet sitters, friends & family... if you're visit family/friends & you're driving it's one thing., but why subject them to traveling & then being stuck in a hotel room all day, or a kennel like they make you do at Disney? Yeah... and that's sad too, that it takes a person dying before they smarten up about things.
