Until I left work. Seriously, I got ready faster than normal allowing me to get more plants into the car before that first frost works its way here. Got them into my office. Got home at an early hour, piled the clothes in the car and headed to the Laundromat.

It was all down hill from there. I had to foot race someone to the last two machines (take that, smoker. I BEAT you!) WHY the Laundromat was backed to the gills at 2 pm on a Friday is anyone's guess. Before I left I had managed to bend back three different finger nails so they're all bloody and hurty.

THen my bank refuses to cash my checks because they changed to some new numbering system and now I need new checks...I can't wait to see what happens when I pay electric and rent (the only two things I need checks for any more)

I get home and the internet was out again and I had to do the reset bullshit. Then I thought hmm is there something pinching me in my jogging pants...no, that's nerve pain. All that laundry lifting must have done something to my sciatic nerve because my whole thigh feels like it's being bitten by fire ants. and then I got a blood blister on a finger.

I'm sort of afraid to move. So I'll sit here, maybe edit something, finish working on the cover specs and hope nothing explodes.

I do have to get out there and pick tomatoes sometimes tomorrow after the shower.

Last but not least, Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] inulovinkit and belated birthday to [livejournal.com profile] vampedvixen hope you had a great day.

have some cute pictures of cats stealing dog beds

I know I had something else to say but it's gone with the wind. Who knew it was so hard to figure out your dream cover.

ELD sent me this Kirk vs Picard I think it's well thought out.

The thing about "Kirk v. Picard" is that I like them both in different ways and for different reasons. I don't think one is better than the other -- they're both AWESOME.

But then, my favorite "Star Trek Captain" is Sisko...

I agree with you. They are both awesome. For that matter so are Sisko and Janeway.

Did I mention I found DS9 at halfprice books and bought S1?

Oooo, lucky you!

I did like Janeway, I just never watched a lot of Voyager so I don't know her character as well.

I watched up to about the last year.

they had almost every series...but that doesn't mean they were cheap. half price is off the publisher price

Yeah, but it's not TOO bad. I picked up a season of Futurama there a while back (but then, Futurama is generally cheaper than DS9...).

I haven't been in a while (bookstores are places I should avoid for now).

It's the half price anime that will kill you. It's cheaper to just go to Amazon for that.

You and me both Either I have to drive to Columbus or back to the parentals to go

I hear you there, too. The only bookstores left in the center of Phoenix is a Half-Price Books and a place called "Book Gallery" -- while still independent, also manages to specialize in First Editions and hard-to-find out-of-print stuff, so it's not your browse-for-something-to-read sort of place.

Everything else we have to drive to Tempe or North Phoenix for (which is why I have such a large order history at Amazon).

There are days when your best bet is to just stay very still.
