Feels like Monday. Feels like a day I should just have stayed in my bed under the covers with nothing but my eyes peeking out. It just wasn't a safe day.

First I got up and was just SO tired I wasn't moving. No seriously, I was in the chair just staring at Murder, She Wrote and knowing I was just sitting and staring. I finally got going. I didn't even have my make up on let alone have the hair done when I hear her solve the myster. OMG! It's 5 til the top of the hour. Slap on make up, forget about hair race out the door to find my fucking neighbor parked less than a knuckle's width away from my car's door.

So I try to slide in from the passenger side. I get my ass in the driver's side but my legs are too long to fold up and get over that way. I trigger the arthritis in my busted up left ankle in the attempt trying to yoga it into position and have a bruise on my right shin so big it looks like I got baseball batted. I lift myself up with one hand, using the other to haul myself into, knocking my left wrist out of socket so I can't really use my left thumb now (it'll go back. I dislocate this wrist a lot). I get up on the poor console and get my feet in first (this is how I busted my shin). If there wasn't a camera right there, I would have just tied his mirror to my bumper and went.

Then the tires are reading low. Okay it's cold so I assume it's that (it was but it took until MUCH later in the day for the air to expand). I'll need to get that done because I couldn't do it today because I had to run from work to the eye doctor and he dilated my pupils and I couldn't see the tire gauge.

The eye doctor said no diabetic changes. YAY. Yes I do have worsening vision in my left eye. I had a choice leave it bad and have trouble with road signs but will be able to still read without readers. B. fix it and need readers constantly. C. get multifocal contacts (bite me). I went with A so pray I don't need to see a road sign...oh who are we kidding I'm always blazing new trails.

He also said that my eyes are always red and that the patanol isn't working. (anti-histamine). He's postulating that I'm allergic to the preservatives in the saline. He gave me this 'new' system. I looked at it and said that's the system I had in high school 30 years ago. Apparently the platinum disc/hydrogen peroxide is making a come back. He wants me to try it for three months and see if it helps. I doubt it. I had this same issue then but i'll try.

On a good note HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] kiramaru7

anime birthday photo: anime birthday birthday.jpg

Hope you had a great day. Couldn't find your animes...and looking took me to the weird side of the internet.

And for no reason Chinese tea music (it had embedding disabled)

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] rain_oubliette have some fun Cracked links

6 terrifying new creatures

5 creepy creatures

and my favorite is 6 creepy places where the dead are in the open which is creepy and very interesting (and yes I clicked on the anal spigot link) but the #1 is hard to see because it's modern, all the dead bodies lying around on Mt. Everest. It's almost in poor taste to include it (and mocking the dead since these aren't 1000 year old bodies. These are someone's son who only died a few years ago) and it's amazing to me anyone would even want to climb this mountain seeing just how MANY dead bodies are strewn about.

declutter day 154 item tossed -1 bag of paper why kept -School scraps, junk mail etc, story bits why tossed - it was crap. Shredded/recycled

I still think the Yeti Crab is somewhere between adorable and OMG, THAT'S THE SCARIEST THING. I mean, it's fuzzy! WITH ARMS THAT GO ON FOREVER.

Yay to the doctor's answer? I guess? Yes?

They're still fuzzy. And gross. That crab brings out so many different reactions to me.

Yes, that is always good.

Yeah, yeah...

I'm debating on that icon. Do I want a spider behind it?

I mean, there are some cute (well, interestingly colored/marked) spiders out there.

oh geez, not your day too

i'm very happy since the thing I fear most about diabetes is losing my eyes.

glad you liked it (I did enjoy Fruits Basket). Oh lord, Pichachu porn...

Yeah. XD

*nods*

Fruits Basket is one of my faves! I'm glad you liked it too! :D

Yup! XD What disturbed me the most about that was lil kids stumbling onto it. ^^;

Oh good. Glad I got one you liked.

Yeah, actually in the early days of Harry Potter Fandom, rowling wanted it stopped for that reason. She didn't want little kids stumbling into the HP porn

Important takeaways from your links:

Spiders with 80-foot webs and jumping cockroaches and OMG I am never going outside again. Plus leeches that live in your sinuses?! Oh gods no.

I want to see that cenote with the Mayan skeletons. But I will remember that, whatever you do, you must not piss off Himalayan gods who can throw some mean hail.

The bat was cute.

Sorry you had such an awful morning. Apparently you need a tank so you can just roll over your neighbor's vehicles.

I already show video of nose leeches in class. I'm not happy until my students are quivering masses of fear.

I kinda do too but knowing me I'd get tagged with the bad juju

Oh wouldn't I love that tank

wow, that mt Everest bit really got to me. as if we thought finding a dead body would be bad... I just went off on a segue reading about them finding David Sharp alive (but way too far gone and dying) and having to leave him. I had no idea that had happened back in 2006 - I never heard about it. and to think, knowing all they do and with all the warnings, people still climb alone and with very little support equipment. my mind can't even wrap around that. you should have seen what I packed for austin!

From: [identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com
same here. I went and looked at that too (not the video but I still might). I don't get how anyone would climb that alone with not enough support equipment either. Then again the dude who found him lost both legs climbing prior to this then lost half his fingers in this climb you have to think something is different there in their brains that motivates them. The article depicted what had to be the most horrific of ends which is why I was a little disappointed in Cracked mocking this.

Glad to hear the diabetes is not impacting your vision. You already have enough grief to deal with.

Your neighbor is worse at parking than I am and that's saying something.

me too. that is my biggest fear. Seriously.

I'm no big shakes at it either but geez. What it is these morons don't want to walk 5 feet from the other lot so they cram in here and this lot was big enough before he allowed every red neck with a F350 truck to rent here

Oh wow, that was definitely a day worth skipping! I hope your wrist is okay now! That sucker pops out easily! I'm glad your vision is mostly okay. I hope that option A works out for you! That's the one I would have chosen too.

Eeeek I don't ever want to go anywhere near Mt. Everest, yo. A Canadian woman died up there last year, I think it was, and there was such a hullaballoo about bringing her body home, omg. They did manage to fetch it, but I feel bad for all of those other dead folks up there and their families. :(

Date: 2013-10-24 03:28 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com
it was. the wrist is a bit sore but better. I've been chosing option A for a few years now.

Me either. Part of me is wondering why, when tackling a deadly mountain these people don't even properly prepare but I do feel bad about all the dead just lying there (and like I said, it's cold of Cracked to mock them since their families could see that and I couldn't imagine the hurt)
