Mom, why are you yelling at me?
Dec. 17th, 2013 12:08 amI have no control over BBC America. I agree Christmas Day is a stupid time to put the Dr. Who Christmas special. Yelling at me, however, will not change that though I appreciate the amount of control you think I have over things like this. I'll get right on fixing that.
She went on to fill my Netflix queue with stuff she wants. I just hope she gets to see it. I think she has a detached retina. She's been having issues for months and wouldn't go in. Now she has a dark spot. Naturally out in Podunk her eye doctor isn't in until tomorrow. I told her no matter how much snow you get, you're GOING IN. God, both parents do nothing but argue over health shit.
I think we're all going to be in the hospital for the holidays. Dad with his hernia. Mom with her eye. Me with my stomach. I've cycled back into the phase where everything I eat makes me nauseated and/or vomit. I had half a square of chocolate and I nearly threw up. The idiots locally looked at me like I was making it up and never addressed it other than to give me a pill that did less than Nexium and then one for nausea (the stuff they give chemo patients and it's NOT helping any more). I don't think people can understand how this is except for the people with Chron's, UC or Celiac's (in other words, half my flist. I still think preservatives are to blame for the rise in these things). I do not have any of these three things to my knowledge. I've been tested. Upper GI issues run on both sides of the family (as does Chron's/UC). I mean I've been dealing with this since middle school. But it's getting much worse. I woke up at 4 AM with nausea and retrosternal pain. It's probably a little stress ulcer. BUT I have to go all the way to Columbus to find a doctor so I've been putting it off. Regretting that this week.
I did get my grades in. My pass rates were pretty high (if you ignore the three students who stopped coming and were too dumb to officially withdraw. I will never understand that).

Date: 2013-12-17 10:45 am (UTC)I feel stupid bringing it up, as I'm sure you've already considered it...could there be some conflicts with your meds, or foods conflicting with your insulin? My dad has had problems with some foods and his blood sugar meds...

Date: 2013-12-17 04:15 pm (UTC)well it's certainly possible to have issues like this when pills and things mix. But I've had this issue for 30 year or more. It's fairly classic stress ulcer symptoms which is why I was shocked Holzer's GI dept didn't want to make a quick couple thousand on doing an endoscopy. I'm supposed to have them every 5 years and it's been 7.
My worry is GERD like I have lead to cancer as well. So I WILL find another GI doc

Date: 2013-12-17 07:40 pm (UTC)Well, the Doctor Who Christmas Special has been on Christmas Day in England since 2005, and in England it's considered just another tradition to watch on Christmas night. At least BBCA will rebroadcast it numerous times throughout the following week...
