Happy birthday (and late birthday) to [livejournal.com profile] makd and [livejournal.com profile] ital_gal. Hope you ladies had a good day.

As for me I seriously considered eating my brains with a spork during the first school of science meeting that was a 2 hour bitch fest and this on top of a day where i run and talk for 5 straight hours (I don't think people realize I stand all day) without even a lunch break.

On the other hand outside of some mild knee pain I DON'T hurt today at all.

I got my writers group stuff in on time and I filled out the cover specs for my steampunk novella. YAY me. (I wrote most of that during the spork me please meeting).

I was also lucky that the mods of [livejournal.com profile] fmabigbang gave me a touch of leeway (I was just a bit short due to all this pro writing).

Fan art calendar and it's one helluva a pretty one.

OMG the 70s I DARE the writers here to use these wall treatments in a story. Sad part? that swimmer mural thing? we had something like that and still do on the downstairs doors! And the flocked wallpaper on the shaggy staircase. Grandma's. No lie.

That 70's stuff. No wonder the kids on That 70's Show were high all the time. :D Who'd need drugs? Just spin in place a few times.

Yay for getting your Big Bang accepted!

Yay for getting your specs done on your steampunk story!

Also, I really love your comments on day 14 and 15 of the Snowflake challenge.

thank you so much. Well, I'm dieting (AGAIN) so no cake or drinks :( but I did get a bottle of my favorite french burgundy as a prezzie which I will drink as soon as I hit my next target...

If you ever figure out why we wake up some mornings absolutely pain-free, tell me. And patent whatever you discover, because holding the marketing rights to the secret of "good days" would make you very, very rich. (If it has to do with hormones, though, we're all screwed. That's a can of worms nobody can untangle.)

You don't need to go five hours without eating. It's an invitation to wild blood-sugar swings, but you already know that. Is there any way you could carry something like almonds in your pocket, and take a moment here and there to eat a handful? It isn't much, but it'll keep your system busy and trick it into thinking it's been fed.

I don't know who decided wallpapering the ceiling was a good idea, but they need to be horsewhipped. Retroactively, of course.

no kidding. that would make me Gates and Jobs rich. Hormones are crazy

I usually bring a diabetic shake (and I did yesterday) since I can sip at it IN class. Yeah this is why diabetics shouldn't do highly restrictive diets.

I know. Actually one of the homes I looked at around here had wallpapered ceilings

File it under either FORGOTTEN CLASSIC or BOOK A FRIEND LOVES -- Alas, Babylon, by Pat Frank. I'll see if I can find it for you.
