So i almost ended up hospitalized today

If you don't see me over the weekend, that's probably where I am. I woke up with a sugar over 410, four times the normal blood sugar. When your sugar is that high, thinking is nearly impossible. Moving is difficult. I have trouble seeing and the nerve pain in my feet as the sugar kills them is excruciating. I took a bunch of insulin and went to work. I called the endocrinologist and told his nurse, look I have an apt in less than 2 weeks, I have blood work in 5 days, does he want to add more tests. Apparently yes he did. He also wants me to go into the hospital as well if it does this again. We shall see.

I called the vet to see if she would take momma cat who is pregnant again (no) and what to do about Kanda. She wants me to bring him in if he's throwing up or blocked up. The big concern was did I switch him to those highly expensive all meat foods like Blue Mt. Unsurprisingly, they cause issues. No, if I want him to have meat, I give him meat. I don't need to spend 20$ a bag for it.

I now have a new concern in house hunting. It never occurred to me the dealers would run out of propane. Now I'm depressed. The only way to avoid propane tanks here is to live in town with someone up your ass.

And now my classroom sprung a roof leak and I had to move. I think this building is out to kill us all.

I don't know what the hospital could do that you aren't already doing (better varieties of insulin? Just plain mainlining the stuff through an IV?), but do whatever you need to do to keep yourself above ground and vertical. We're rooting for you, even if none of us out here can magically fix what needs fixing.

Most of this is probably secondary to the polycystic ovarian disease and the estrogen/progesterone levels

Wow, you have some serious issues. Yet you manage to keep going nonetheless. I hope things get better for you soon.
Have you looked into an insulin pump? Is that even an option for you? I know someone who is a very brittle diabetic and he finds that the pump makes it a lot easier to control his sugars.

Thanks. You know Ii wondered about the pump but I'm on three insulins and they barely do a thing, I'm THAT resistant to insulin. I know he's not been interested in moving me to it. I'm wondering if he's going to suggest victoza which I've not heard good things about.

yes, well though in both cases it's an argument with the spouse. In my mom's brother's case (Lucky Uncle) I'm rather pissed off. My aunt only wants HER brother's kids to inherit and not me, my brother and my cousins. We're all nieces and nephews but we don't count. Don't get me wrong. I don't want much from them but I AM rather annoyed that she thinks it should be so one sided.

It's the same argument with my dad's brother and his wife. Now in this case they have been married for a few decades and being married to him ain't a picnic, he's worse than my dad. BUT all her kids are his step kids. I DO think the house and land should come to me and my brother. It was our grandparents. I'm fine with dividing up the money but I really don't want to have to pay off her kids to get my grandparents land back.
