Mardi Gras

For the first time since...well ever I have completely forgotten Mardi Gras. I didn't take in king cake or my beads today. I didn't do the cool promptathon evil_little_dog had. I have done nothing but drive myself crazy over this novella and work.

Hopefully this puts up the whole collection which just happens to have some of my favorite Mardi Gras music. It's hard to go wrong with Professor Longhair.

I'm sure I had more to say but I'm now so busy I officially can't think (or is that the blood sugar? It's hard to say.) I better get back into this or I will miss tomorrow's deadline.

Someone should tell these sorry excuses for humans that Hansel and Gretel only works out in fairy tales (and they truly sad thing is there were MORE outraged people on the abandoned dog/kitten couple today than there are for someone who threw out three of their children. How messed up are we?)

there was a weird new ruling priests could only do TWO masses my parents were put out but did get their ashes. I did not

it even took Father Bob by surprise and since he has two churches it meant only one service per church. Me, that would have been a bonus, come in get your ashes and NO mass.

There was a photo in the paper today of 'drive by Ash Wednesday' with a priest under one of those tent things, waving at the passersby.
