Another writerly ways off to the way side
Apr. 20th, 2014 10:53 pmSince I'm still desperately trying to finish. I have learned one important thing. I suck at short stories. Even though that's what I've been published with mostly, more of them turn into novellas or worse every time.
I am highly amused when I asked my local writer group what in Athens I should burn to the ground in the story, the pastor offered up half the town.
Have some Easter pictures.
My naturally dyed eggs. The red cabbage i used for this went into tonight's side dish of red cabbage and ginger (I think that's in the recipe tag and it's a weight watcher recipe)
Kanda is unimpressed
can’t believe this house has dropped this much in price another 20 and it's in my range. It's in like the one nice subdivision of Jackson that isn't South Street.
I covet this one Speaking of South Street. I didn't realize taxes could be assessed based on street because this street is 3 times the rest of the city. that might be why this is the millionth time this one has been for sale.
and now back to the grind.

Date: 2014-04-21 04:17 am (UTC)Those are nice houses. The first one is amazing!
There's a big house a few blocks from us that's been for sale for ages. We've watched them making all sorts of upgrades and improvements to it, and it continues to sit on the market. We want it SO BAD...

Date: 2014-04-21 04:34 am (UTC)instead of starting with the onions/ginger, I put the cabbage and the eggs in the water and made hard boiled eggs the usual way and then decanted all blue water and the eggs into a container along with 3 tbs of vinegar to set the dye then made the recipe as is for half the time.
It really is. It's still too far on the upper limits of my budget and I would STILL be an hour from Athens so that really isn't a help (but all around athens is nothing but double wides so I have to be realistic)
I dont' blame you there

Date: 2014-04-21 12:32 pm (UTC)The first house = why is it two stories when nothing is upstairs? There are absolutely no rooms listed as being upstairs.
The second house is very cool, and I like it bunches.

Date: 2014-04-21 01:42 pm (UTC)That's common here to no mention or show an entire floor (like the one in Athens everyone likes, nothing of the basement is shown) always makes me suspicious
The second house is, however, RIGHT on the road.
