To everyone who helped make the 99th birthday card shower for Grandma possible. She was so surprised. Mom and I will go back later in the week to sit down with her to see them. She was a bit worn out from the party.

In fact, we thought it would a different sort of family gathering because Mom and Aunt S2 couldn't wake Grandma up. They thought she has passed on but no. She made her party (and there were 2 old women who wanted to join SO bad. We were actually okay with it but they didn't come out and ask).

Alot of family and a couple of friends were there. The home provided chicken salad croissants (which some were good and some were inedible.) and we got a big cake from Costco. It was a lot of fun getting to talk to people.

Then at the end almost the cousin who has cut himself off from the family showed up with one of the triplets. He stared at me a good ten seconds and went Dana? like he wasn't sure. it's like yeah, me. He still didn't actually talk to me m uch but he did talk with the guys but I blame his father for that.My uncle was of the opinion women existed only to survive.

It went well (Costco makes yummy cakes!!) and then my cousin (sister to the one who won't talk to anyone) and her kids came home. Dad headed off to his h.s. reunion (he's just rolling in a 10). Her son is my son. The whole family thinks so. he's a bookworm, comic book reading, game playing geek. He has always sought me out no matter where we're at. I think I'm the only one in his family who understands him (well me and my parents). He definitely doesn't belong to his own.

I like this one. The necklace I got in Vegas from the Titanic exhibit. It was modeled on a piece recovered from the wreckage and I thought it was pretty.

ETA - I forgot to mention the idiotic thing I did. I was taking off my make up with 'take the day off' make up remover and got a little in my eye as I did the eyeshadow (it's safe for that). I took out my contact then panicked wondering how I could have gotten so much in my eye that my vision was blurry. So I put in distilled water again and again, daubed with a wet tissue but nothing cleared my vision. I was ready to ask mom to take me to the Er Then I remembered that I took the contact out in that eye....it's blurry because I'm blind. Wow.


ETA - New eggs in alpine/forest ELD said something about there being 1 egg but 8 different types that can come from them.

YAY!! That's AWESOME!!!

Yeah, I managed to grab mine before they did that. People have been saying these ones might be rare/uncommon. Next month, who knows when the drop will be? Apparently having a regularly scheduled drop is "stale" & "boring." I liked it as it gave me time for things to grow up & have my egg slots open. There was a lot of negative feed back to the point of name calling & other juvenile behavior that the mod had to step in & post about it. *sighs*

*grins* Yeah? I name them sometime between when they gender & when they become adults. Sometimes they sit for a bit, until I name them, but once I do name them, I put them in place. I've arranged them by types generally in the order I acquired them, with my holidays & avatars on top. Under that, I put my pygmies, except for the original ones. *is too LAZY to move them* Lately, I just recycle naming prefixes & name them whatever type of dragon they are. I think if they ever lost their names, I probably wouldn't rename them. XD

*nods* yeah! I'm not happy with the randomness. For someone who checks their scroll everyday, I rarely breed, although I did breed an avatar for the AP, and I pick up most of my eggs form the AP, or if I can, I grab CBs from the cave until I have what I want. The randomness makes it hard play, cuz then I never know when I need to stop so my scroll's free. A lot of people feel like that. One or two are still very vocal about randomness is good & if one has to choose between things, well, too bad for them. ^^;

Now it;'s mostly "Oh, I know what dragon that is!!" & "I wonder what they'll look like as adults." Thankfully, no more mods getting angry. :D

I try to catch the new ones, then breed them for friends if need be but that's about all I really do.
