And a few fun links.

But first here is this video again. I forgot to ask, does anyone know who two of the women are, the first and the third? (I know the second is Margaret Cho) and oh, my apologies for making you see Jack Black twerk. Funny thing, this video came up in the Victorian funerary lecture (mainly the line about taking selfies with the deceased. it's a very old thing and wasn't considered tacky then).

photo 100_3547_zpsbc22fe68.jpg This is one I took. It's horrible. Why I took everyone's backs while dancing not sure but only kept it because the Temple guy is on the far right (apparently he started out with pants but got hot...) in full regalia.

The next few are not mine. You can go to Into the Pit photography on facebook and like his page. he has nearly 800 pictures so it might be awhile before mine are ready

photo whiplashtribalfusiondancers_zpsb0f5da5f.jpg These are the whiplash tribal fusion dancers (another reason to move to albany/athens, I could do something like this)

photo littleboy_zps8e2fa4b5.jpg This was the little boy I mentioned and I'm assuming mom.

photo patquackenbush_zps194407d6.jpg This fellow made both the backdrop AND the sasparilla it dispenses! Steam does bellow out of it.

And this is a gift (from [livejournal.com profile] evil_little_dog) and drawn by the talented Crossmirage. I think it's lovely.

it's even m ore amazing if you know where I live. I'm shocked at the creativity (and expense) these Appalachians went to. then again it IS Athens which isn't like the rest of this place (home to hippies and the wealthy kids from Cleveland in part)

the art is very sweet.

The first one (in the lion sweater I USED TO OWN) is Aisha Taylor, the last is Kristen Schaal.

Some GREAT costumes!

thanks and that's hysterical about the sweater. I admit it, I wore a hands one like that in undergrad. geez

aren't they? I'm stunned at the level these people are at.

I loved that sweater. I wore it well into the 90's... (I think I only got rid of it because it was an extra large and it was too big for me!)

I enjoyed seeing these pictures from the steampunk ball (that little boy sure is cute) (and Roy and Riza too of course!) and I have bookmarked this entry to remind me to come back and play youtube radio with that list of songs!
