Which means my hip is killing me. I think really though it's my back. I couldn't lift my right leg to stair climb. That's new and worrying.

Everything I do keeps getting messed up. No emails are getting to me that need too. It's making me look bad at work. Fuck you microsoft outlook. Luckily I DID get it straightened out but man it cost me an ungodly amount to go to a con in Columbus in two weeks. I'm taking a student. I'm going to pretend I'm a real scientist.


I rather feel like I'm fighting with the world and I AM fighting my novel to get the edits down. Man I do not want to have to retitle this thing.

I didn't even get into my local writer's group's camp nano cabin because of an electronic error on nano's end. sigh. alone again.

How can you get shut out of a NaNo cabin? Is there a time or number limit of some sort? Surely you can try again, or have one of the members invite you. Camping alone sucks.

It's rainy and chilly here, too, but our "chilly" is pretty laughable compared to yours (we're expecting a high of only--gasp!--69 tomorrow, and it'll take two whole days to get back up in the 80's).

Any kind of edits make your life feel like you're a salmon swimming up waterfalls. Your editor seems like more of a grammar Nazi than a process editor, though, so at least she isn't making you write a whole new ending or anything. As for the title, just suck it up and change it. You could have gotten away with "Soldiers of the Sun" for the first book, but alas, this is the second. Your only alternative would be to turn the series into the "Darkest Midnight" series instead of the "Soldiers of the Sun" series.

to do a private cabin the invite had to be by a certain date but I never got the invites. I emailed and complained and they've already emailed me back so I can try to get in. Let's see what happens.

Yes it's definitely all the grammar that's changed since Dana took her writing classes back in the day dinosaurs roamed. You saw how many pages of lecture I got on that and the passive-aggressive 'maybe you should read grammar girl's website'

But I don't wanna retitle it. I will because yes Soldiers is a better umbrella. I DID email them with all the weirdness about this series and I'm waiting to hear back.
