830 pm I get a phone call

cornerofmadnessIt's the internet tech who was supposed to be here at 4. Who I left a meeting to come meet (no loss), okay left meeting to clean like a mad woman so no one sees how I live.
Anyhow At 830 I get the call from the tech (you know the one, the guy I know by first name since there's like ONE tech). I know it's late but... GET HERE NOW. 20 minutes later, I have internet again (one of the switches in the outside box corroded again). He says once the weather warms they're updating us to 20-30 MG download speed. Want to know what I have now? 2. That's right. 2. Sigh
And just like that the first week of school is over. No major mishaps. We're down in enrollment but only .7% so that's not too horrible on one hand but on the other doesn't look like my cut pay will be refunded.
My student's abstract was accepted by the Ohio Academy of Science so we're officially presenting in April.
I got this from George Takei today. I thought it was hysterical (and looked like my Roy when I had him)
I guess people were upset with him in the comment section for suggesting pussy ruled the world and how sexist blah blah blah. His comment back was hysterical too. It's a cat joke. I don't even THINK about women's genitalia often.
I noticed I've sold a surprising number of my vampire short story Crisis in Faith about my Vegas vampires. I'm taking that as a sign to get my ass moving on editing Blood Red Roulette. I need more hours in a damn day.
My friend flippy sent me this cover and I really liked it.
I like Halestorm too and this cover is good
Speaking of fun covers, check out John Barrowman's. You need to see the last minutes. (It's a tribute to his parents and they're in it, doing what parents do best: embarrass their kids).

When I saw the picture, I was reminded of that movie Cats and Dogs and laughed. Goodness, some people need to get a life.
Even though I am a Simon and Garfunkle fan, loved the cover. Very touching. Loved the parents in the last one, too. Have never listened to the original Gaga song, but liked the cover.
