Today was interesting.

cornerofmadnessWell not really until late afternoon. It was a normal day until ten minutes before my last class when the secretary calls to ask if one of our new instructors could give her finals online because yesterday just before her evening class her water broke and she drove herself to the hospital then transported to a much larger one as the baby is nearly 2 months early. Luckily the baby is breathing on his own and while small, he seems to be fun.
The after the test I was giving two of my best students (who are just a few years younger than me and want me to hang out with them once they're no longer students since we have the same interests) anyhow one of them comes up to me and asks about the professor. Apparently they're the ones who found her dazed and scared after her water broke and got her to the hospital since she didn't know where it was (and for some reason wouldn't let them drive her but who's thinking straight in that situation.) Proud of them. They did good getting her there so nothing would happen to the baby.
I missed most of the honors banquet (for one it was moved somewhere I didn't expect and two the students took forever on that nightmare test). The banquet was basically cheese and crackers. It was also now too late to make the writers group stuff because I needed to eat.
Came home and learned that I can't have too much sour cream on my burrito (either that or that one chicken tender I thought was a cheese stick wasn't good). Threw up all night. fun times.
And tomorrow is the last day I have to get up at 6 AM til next January. Huzzah.
