Like buy your vacation tickets. Which are now sold out. And it's all my fault. And all the other similar trips are @4 grand and I'm not paying that for a few days in Canada. I could tour Europe complete with airfare for that.

Costco vacations don't include Canada. I'm actually surprised. Don't include Iceland either. Sigh.

So who needs a vacation? I no longer care. Even my fall back of the LGBT writers con in FL is canceled.

Maybe I'll feel better if I sleep. I went to bed at 2. I was awake until at least 5, drowsed a bit between then an 7, gave up at 9.

Took the computer to get it updated. They said there was no way it can update with my internet speed which is why nothing has updated in a year. sigh.

there is a bright spot. I might go to Cleveland's comicon next March as an author.

And Kanda keeps hogging the fan. brat.
Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today!

Check WOW air for trips to Iceland. If you can get yourself to Boston, you can get fares from there as low as $99.

WOW? I'm not familiar with them. Are they trustworthy (I ask after being hosed before by cut rate travel).

But thanks for the suggestion. I think I'm going to look seriously at Costco Ireland trip because if I'm paying 4 grand it's not going to be to Canada.

WOW Air is very trust worthy.

We took them to Iceland back in January and already have tickets to go back over Thanksgiving.

I will warn you they are a definite budget airline - you pay for snacks etc, but they're actually a really nice airline and have a surprisingly good amount of leg room.

They also fly to Europe. For example you can get flights to Dublin, again from Boston, btwn September and December as low as $190.

Their website is wowair.us

Sorry about the sleep. I'm there with you on that.
One day I will go to a comicon. Until then, I'll just be jealous. :-)

I did not sleep until 7 this morning then slept til freaking noon. I was pissed.

Comicons and anime cons are fun. I'd start small and work from there. I know there are several in your neck of the woods. One of the authors I was with in Raleigh, Grace Duncan will be at the one near ...houston? austin? ugh I can't remember, one of the bigger cities not that that helps in a state the size of Texas

LOL yep. Would probably see a comicon in Austin before Houston, or San Antonio before Dallas. It's a matter of attitude. And there's an Aggiecon, which is small but has a history. Might try that first, as it would be closer.

Hhaha I'll just ask Grace the name and location of that con. I was in San Antonio last year. Too hot. Way too hot. I did like the history though.

I'm not surprised about Iceland; one of the most expensive countries in the world. Free power, but you need a mortgage for a coca-cola!

Not that that would stop me going if I could; also one of the most queer-friendly countries in the world, and virtually the only one in the world to deal aggressively with the thieves uhm, bankers who nearly destroyed the world's economy.

True. Iceland had hugely high taxes but yes not only queer friendly but one of the most women friendly places too. And yes they dealt with the bankers as they should have been dealt with world wide
