or Litha or Summer Solstice. So summer is here, now only three months of heat induced sickness to get through.



I spent the day at the vet clinic because there's a new vet at mom and dad's former vet clinic and she wanted to meet Kanda before just giving me revolution for his fleas. 90 freaking dollars later plus another 30 for her time, Kanda has flea meds AND diet food to sample because someone is nearly 21 pounds. She backed up what my friend told me at animazement that cats should have only wet food and it's very difficult to make a balanced meal for them on your own. SIgh.

Dad's right, it's getting too expensive to keep a pet.

Took mom and dad out for dinner. I hate to say it, the puttanseca was a bit too spicy. It had more red pepper than it should have but still tasty.

I also hit the library to download lecture notes and convert them to a downgraded Word that will open on Dad's old computer and picked Frankenstein for a reread as it's the novel's 200th birthday this year.

It looks like the Weird West anthology is going forward. I'm still not sure ALL of us will be in it but i'm hoping!

And hey it's a full moon for the solstice.

I felt so bad last night I barely looked at the moon and was in bed by 8:30. I'm feeling a bit better today.

Yeah, it's pretty awful - it wants to rain but won't. So the humidity is up there.

I had those earlier. I only had a handful of cherries and a granola bar from 5:00 to 4:30...oops.

Day started out mild here, temp rose fast, then dropped around 4:00. It's now very pleasant inside with a cool wind blowing outside - it really wanted to rain but didn't, darn it.
