Finally went out

cornerofmadnessDid a little shopping at Macy's and Costco. I own all the fruit. Yes I do. take that, Costco. Yay for all the fruit.
They also had this Korean BBQ pork jerky that was divine and I don't even like pork! I tried to get Mom to get a sample for me but no. I bought the bag. Damn you sample lady.
Sadly Macy's had almost NO shorts. WTF? It's summer. They had skorts. I find skorts...let's just say not my style. I found two pairs of shorts that might be liveable. What I really liked was the sundress I bought. THis American Rag sundress It doesn't cling making me look like a bratwurst and Mom had an idea. If I want to wear a bra that isn't a strapless we could decorate the straps of one bra with flower appliques or something and who cares who sees them.
I dodged a churchy bullet. It's our local Catholic church's 100 anniversary this year. One of the celebrations is a 4 hour trip to Amish country to see this 70$ religious play and another 4 hour trip back (nearly 200$ in total) and they needed 20 people to go. For weeks now #20 was going to be me but finally some other people chipped in. Thank you, Jesus. No offense, I'll go explore any church you want me to but 8 hours on a bus with church people to see a play about Sampson? Shudders.
I did give up my idea to do both charity anthologies.The first one has a deadline of 4 days from now. Even if I could kick out 5-10 k in that time it wouldn't be in any shape to send in. Ah well. It gives me time to concentrate on the one featuring Aaron and Rhys again.

Oh, man, I wouldn't want to spend 8 hours on a bus with just about anyone- I am really glad to hear you missed that one! Phew! That's cool that the local church is 100 years old though.
