Kanda is learning to walk on a leash
Jun. 27th, 2016 11:05 pmI'm going to try to get at least a picture of it. He's not too keen on it but if I get him in the grass and let him wander around he's happy and forgets the clunky ass harness that barely fits (he's too fat for the small, not fat enough for the next size up).
And check out
sholio's kickstarter to create a paper version of her webcomic, Kismet. It's cool stuff, check it out. kickstarter
As for me, I got my contract for Corpse Powder for the Weird West anthology. Huzzah! At least I'll have SOMETHING in print this year. I was beginning to get worried.
I turned in a boat load of old magazines and a couple text books my students wouldn't take for free. Half price book store gave me 11$. Woot. I spent it on magic beans. I also used my new smartphone to keep myself from overpaying for old anime while I was there.
Did I mention I crammed my foot into a stationary bike the other day? Yes I think I did. I had mom take off the nail polish (since it hurt to move it much) and I ask, is it okay or is the nail messed up? 'it's fine.' I take a look later and it's split in two, lifted off and blood all up under it. 'Um Mom.' "Well you're a hypochondriac so I told you it was fine.' Uh....
And Happy Belated Birthday to
3pride. Hope it was a good day.
I still can't find a trip to take. All of the ones I want to join are filled and VIator can't tell me more than 'downtown hotels' in Portland. I called to ask which ones and their answer was l iterally we can't say other than 'downtown hotels' because they contract via other tour agents and they don't know. Um...then how can I BOOK a hotel since I want to be where I can be picked up. Head desk.
ANd I FINALLY got an appointment to see the surgeon about my stomach. Two days before Christmas. SIGH. So much for all the reasons I took the summer off.

Date: 2016-06-28 06:20 pm (UTC)The toe will live (but I DO worry because that foot has diabetic neuropathy and I was a diabetic wound care specialist. I spent half my practice cutting off toes)
