It was in the 70s and a bit over cast so no sun baking you and it was nice. Everyone was on their best behavior. The only real problem was Dad can't drive at night any more so always wants to leave early because he WON'T LET ME DRIVE. I'm perfectly capable of it. I live in the country. hell I live behind the wheel. Sigh.

But it was nice. We had a bit lunch, then went out for a ride. We came back and Lucky Uncle took out the teens to go tubing. We were supposed to go out for a swim later that I was really looking forward to but points up to the whole leave early bit. Oh well after the huge dinner, I couldn't have swam.

I want to swim though. I haven't seen I had my shoulders repaired so it's been years.

I didn't get any pictures, sorry.

Drinking most of the gallon dispenser full of vodka punch probably helped my mood today. Oh and the sangria chaser.

I did fail to mention yesterday that my cousin who abandoned the family nearly 15 years ago (blaming my cousin's husband, then the tween girls and finally my mother for his shitty behavior) called my dad out of the blue to invite him out hunting this fall. Mom isn't impressed. His sisters said he's trying to unburn his bridges. FOr me, I say fine for their sake let him try but never ever trust him.

I'm glad I put on facebook about my Portland woes. Now I know the name of the light rail system so I can look into that as a means of transport. [livejournal.com profile] wildrider had a good suggestion of biking which is big shit in Portland. But the cheaper hotels are too far out I'm not up for a 15 mile trip even if I was allowed to. I'm not. Even if the hip was up to it, I'm terrified of bicycles. I broke my ankle in 6 places on a bike.

Oh and remember how I'm making Dad fat? So he eats that big lunch, when we get back he has another sandwich. Lucky Uncle goes 'we're having dinner in less than 2 hours.' Dad is unimpressed. He has dinner. We drive an hour and a half home and he has another sandwich and we point out it's not been 2 hours since dinner 'i didn't eat much then.' Um...

Sounds like a good day and good booze and yeah, Dad, if you kept track of the food you ate...

It would be you, as you're making him fat.

I wonder if you take pictures of him with all his food and then show it to him.
