Today was made of irritation and pain

cornerofmadnessI've pushed my hand too far and the pain is intense.
I wish I could sleep. The heat has been far too intense for that. Had disturbing dreams again and yeah I forgot them.
I'm off fridays this semester but I've had to get up early on three of the five weeks so far. Today I could sleep in and some breast cancer charity calls me at 8 and opens the conversation with 'Mrs Evans you're harder to reach than my kids.'
Then I called the fraud/abuse line for my insurance because the texas hospital system is STILL charging to my health insurance. The very nice lady there said 'this isn't fraud and I wish the regular customer service would stop telling people to call them. SHe tried to help and suggested I call Texas if I wanted and to call United Health care back and ask for a supervisor.
So I call UH and the young chick who answered actually said 'well I don't have time to deal with all these claims.' Are you kidding me? She told ME to call them all. I told her that wasn't my job. I also don't have time to call multiple places nor the AUTHORITY to fix this. I ask for the supervisor and I guess she was afraid I wanted to report her so we went through the claims for the last 3 months.
THen I DID call UTMB in Galveston and that lady asked me if I was SURE this wasn't me. Yes, I'm sure I'm calling from Ohio. Did you ever live in Texas? No. Are you SURE? No, I had a brain aneurysm and forgot living in Texas. FInally I convinced her that I was from OH and only stepped a toe into Texas last year once in San Antonio. Sure enough there is another person with my name AND my birthday but yes the social security numbers are different. She has NO idea how this happened. Well not only did it happen ma'am you gave MY UH member number to every doctor in your system, your pharmacy AND Med 4 Home. So now I'm pissed.
And I'm beginning to believe there is something to astrology and names because she makes the THIRD person with my name and exact birthdate who is sick as holy hell.
I came home and readied the tea pots/cups for the steampunk festival tomorrow. I am sad that my best boots (which I haven't tried to wear in forever) had dry rotted insoles, leaving me with the snakeskin cowboy boots which aren't as comfortable.
And today it was mid-90s (what the holy fuck) and I may die from heat tomorrow in my Western steampunk gear. whines.
The new MacGyver wasn't bad (he's cute), The new Exorcist also not bad (he's cute) Van Helsing annoyed me
And 1960s George Takei is still so hot to me.
