another late night update

Hey I got that IWRY story done. ELD and Maren are busy editing it (Thanks ladies). The bare bones edition will appear in the B/A Marathon. The better edition will be...who knows but I got it done so dance with me here.

And I even got nearly 2000 more words done. Even when high Makai and his friends are moaning about their hair. Here, smoke marijuana...no, no, don't talk about your hair. I'm gonna kill 'em.

Interesting way to start the day

Woke up wide awake after only 5 hours of sleep (i.e. in no way I was going back to bed) and then mom called hoping to wake me up. They're renevating the attic and found all my Nancy Drew books and she wanted to know what possessed me to press leaves in every one of them. How the hell do I know? that was over 20 years ago mom! So, you keeping my leaves or what? I didn't know mom could swear like that. :-) 

And I found I won a few Inspiration Awards (this is an interesting award site. Not always open and it's ONLY open to select characters that are always varying. This time it was Giles/Xander together or apart. Check it out). I won best Giles Pairing for Transitive Nightfall of Diamonds (that's the Ripper/Ethan story set in the 70's, go Disco, oh an the pairing isn't G/E, it's G/OC).  ( Read more... )

And I cleaned up the embarrassing typos on Masq's birthday gift. The chapter still needs work but if you'ld like to see it without a huge typo two words in head here (oh and amazingly enough last night it had over 150 reviews and about 3 people telling me what they thought so thanks for all the reading and input, more please) Leaning on the Edge of E chapter Two

And I checked out fandomwishlist  which is a really neat community where you can put up your various fandom wishes and hopefully someone will write/do art/vid something for you. Dear Tully and Carantoc,

You are NOT auditioning for the next season of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy so please just give Makai a shirt and leave his hair alone. He does not require a make over. He's hopeless. He's scrawny with bad hair. You're slowing down the action. An assassin wants to murder all three of you and he can't do it if you're busy dragging out every item of clothing in Tully's wardrobe to find just the right thing for Makai.

Dear Carantoc - I know you are homosexual. Could you please act less like Jai. You're supposed to be a warlord prince. So far you've done nothing but cut hair and coddle your apprentice. Would you please do something nasty and worthy of your reputation as one of the best swordsmen in the land.

Dear Tully - I know you'll sleep with anything still alive, male or female and probably several things that aren't alive. Get over yourself. You are not Kyan in spite of trying to control the hair styles of everyone in a 100 mile radius of the castle. You're one of the most feared men in the world so why are you spending all your time corrupting Makai. Don't make me send Trevhan down there to kick your ass.

Question for you computer types

Is it something I'm doing wrong or is LJ on crack? Lately when I've been answering comments from friends with friendslocked LJ's (Blaar Rosir and Aaronlisa for example since it happens mostly with them) I get 404'ed like I'm not signed in which would make sense given the lock. But I AM logged in and I can't even see the posts in my Flist even though I saw it and responded to it earlier in the day. Sometimes I can go to my flist and just get in directly that way and those 404'ed forbidden posts HAVE posted. Other times even if I go to my friends list to click on their hyperlink it takes me back in time to before the LJ was friendslocked.

So? Is it me or does LJ need to go to detox?
