Hope you have a great day.
As for the testing and all that junk. X-Rays are done. Cat scan done...and sigh. Just sigh. Turns out if i take my diabetic medication with the dye they put into me my kidneys will die!! (you know i would have liked to have known that so i could have skipped it this morning! We're really testing my renal clearance here) gotta wait two days before i can take it again.
Why oh why is the CAT scan bed so small my shoulders drape off both sides. This is painful. it's like lying on a see-saw board. The tech askes me which is my good arm for veins. I laugh and tell her neither. They're deep, small and friable. 'Your hands any better?' No. Last time they nearly had to put the dye in my leg. Long story short, the arm vessels are a no-go. Finally find one in my hand. Neither tech can get it in because there isn't a needle small enough. They go and get a child's IV needle. Even with that they raise a hematoma the size of a small grape.
I go into the CAT scan which is an open one that whirls like the Stargate portal. And it's over fast...much faster than last time so i'm wondering what kind of image they got.
now my hand really hurts and my toe too. it's very embarrassing to be a podiatrist and have an infected ingrown toe nail.
