Whiling away the Night – AU Post NFA

“Father always told me to beware of longest night,” Connor said, reloading his spring-loaded wrist stakes. “Said there was a reason for all the superstitions.”

“Now you know why.” Angel shook the vampire dust from his hair.

“The best hunting day of the year for vampires,” Connor replied.

Spike took a drag on his cigarette. “Man, I remember that Solstice in London back in the good old days. Remember Angel?”

”No and neither do you.” Angel nodded at Connor.

Connor snorted. “Only tell me if Angelus messed up spectacularly.”

“I have plenty of those stories to fill the night.”

“Die.”
