I was going to whine about all I didn't do this week then thought, geez, you're being hard on yourself. Then I ran across this on my flist. Justine Musk on writing She's a published author in the urban fantasy genre and this just really struck a chord with me and I thought I'd share it with the other authors on my list.

And it's not that I've been lying around doing nothing. I spent the week lugging 10 year old crap out of the basement, came back to OH, got ready for the new semester and still wrote 1300 words of original fiction, not counting all the fanfic.

Also I edited Mysterious Spirit and thought you know the editor from Dreamspinner Press is right, this IS good. I hope to have it to them tonight.

On the other hand I'm still NOT happy with the opening of Crisis in Faith, that revamped (no pun intended) vampire thing.

evil_little_dog is right, the beginning is weak. And I think i know how to move it along.

So if you're on the original fiction filter, ignore last night's post. It's getting scrapped. If you WANT to be on the original fiction filter and get to see my non-fan work, this would be a good time to ask and I'll put you on.

In the meantime, meet Killian. He's one of the leads in the werewolf YA I'm trying very hard to finish.

I'm oddly blah about it all. I've been here too long I think. I have issues about staying in one place. Ah well. Here's hoping they don't make me nuts. Two of my classes are senior level so that cuts out the stupidity at any rate. One of those will have at most 2 students in it (this was the one that was cut and is now back since they COULDN'T cut it without damaging the major...)

Outside of the anatomy class (half of which i DO know) I'll already know all my students. It should be a good semester.

Today was gorgeous. I sat outside for a while. I hung the temple bell

silvrethorn got me for christmas (yes I'm slow. I had to figure out how to seal the paper flag it has).

I added the newbies to my original fiction filter but I didn't have time to redo that opening so please still ignore it. If anyone else wants on let me know.
