Things I forgot yesterday and today's boring crap

I'm up late finishing a story for 12_daysofficmas and realized I forgot to mention yesterday started way too early as mom prodded me awake.

Mom- know what it's time for

Me- it's like 8 AM the day after Christmas.is this a trick question?

Mom - (pointing to the closet) get dressed. we're going shopping .

Me-....

Mom - hurry up

Me - but i haven't had breakfast

Mom - we'll go out for that...

At said breakfast we somehow got onto the topic of hand santizer over use

Me- this is how we create real problems

Mom - how so?

Me - Remember For the World is Hollow and I Have touched the Sky? ( Star Trek eppy for those who don't know)

Mom (knowing looking) Oh, we're creating a too-clean world and we're going to get a bad disease like Bones

Me - exactly...


Let me preface this bit with the fact i was NOT drunk last night. I barely had two glasses of wine. This morning around 6 AM I woke up with a severe headache (from the weather change but I swear from this you'd think I had a stroke.) Realizing i had to pee, I sat up and had NO idea where I was (my door is like three steps from the bed in mom's place). I ended up across the room trying to get out the window. Um...okay then.

Today was spent at my brother's while Dad and he had to install a new garage door opener since his croaked last night. We had no idea it would take all day so I got nothing done but watching the Steelers' game with Mom and SiL (thanks Ravens for making so many game costing penalties. We appreciated it)

I STILL haven't gotten my netbook out of the box and I'm never going to get a moment to type on that Pompeii story.

writing woes

I could use some prompts for the 12_daysofficmas You guys know my fandoms and have a general idea of what ships I will or will not write. I can't promise i can do everything that gets tossed my way but I can try. I've already done up FMA, NCIS, Dresden Files & BTVS for this already (not to say I wouldn't/couldn't repeat a fandom


I did some babbling in my writer's journal for those who want to follow my professional stuff. That one story should be out soon.

It snowed a lot but i didn't get a chance to go walking in like I wanted. I'm not feeling so hot today.

Now back to writing that pompeii thing


ETA - findyourwords is taking on sign ups. It basically tosses you out a prompt once or twice a week and keeps a tally of your word count. However this year the mod doing that tallying thing crapped out half way through. It's been taking over by others and I found it helpful to keep me on track
