Author’s Note written for fma_fic_contest's 'canon pairing' prompt. This is a slightly longer version than the one in the community. This was going to be Gracia/Maes then I heard the song If I Die Young by Band Perry on the radio and thought this titular line to this story was really perfect (the rest of the song doesn’t really fit and rather creeped me out to be honest). This story popped into my head immediately after hearing it. Thanks to evil_little_dog for the beta.

more writing and photography thoughts

people are really enjoying the church and landscapes. I shall try to get more for you all. I have a boatload of both roaming around here. Wish I were a better photographer but it's one of those things i have little patience for even though i really enjoy it.


THinking about the church reminded me I wanted to make a note somewhere about an idea I got over christmas. There is an OLD church just outside of McDonald back home and I noticed a board from where it's been boarded up (my whole life) was loose and I had wantd to go back and shove a camera up under there just to see what was there.

I was thinking wouldn't it be cool if there were a dead body in there. An idea for a mystery is born.

For that matter, I'm reading The Poisoners Handbook which is one of those rare non-fictions that is so well written that it's like reading fiction, it goes down so easy. It's making me want to write 1920's fic.


totally random: My students think I should do stand up. snerk.

I came home to find out my cats must have been bored. There were shreds of that rug everywhere. shreds of a cat toy everywhere, shreds of CAT everywhere, and one wisenheimer found a plant leaf and shredded it too. So i had to vacuum everything.

Also my stomach still hurts. then my migraine kicked in and for extra added fun my period appeared out of nowhere. Oh thanks for nothing body.
