I had taken my keys out of my purse so I didn't carry them shopping all over the place. Guess who forgot to put them in the purse when she left. Guess who was going to be in the building hours after everyone else left. Yeah. Me so smart.

Less and Less students are here between last minute drop outs (which is wise in some cases) and the flu is ripping through here like mad. I'm also getting sick. Right now it's mostly a sore throat. I hope it ends there.


It took me four hours (as it always does) to set up the lab final exam for this week on muscles. It is such an undertaking but it's ready

Okay I like ghost shows but some are really ridiculous. Haunted Scotland is watchable for the first ten minutes or so to see the site but they spin the least evidence (if there is anything) into demons, imps, faeries and god knows what else (because I guess ghosts are boring) it is SOOO bad. Literally one of the most ridiculous least believable show I've seen. Like right now, my ring fell off. It MUST be a poltergeist. I'm like your finger got cold and the tissues shrank. This is eyerolling bad

I have a recipe for T-day leftovers. I ate this growing up and had NO Idea it wasn't a thing everywhere. It is a local Pittsburgh thing and it is SO tasty. Okay if you're following my recipe tag for healthy dishes, this ain't it. I cut this in half sauce wise and I STILL have enough for at least two more meals. turkey devonshire.

He readjusted his hat. “No. I know a couple of girls were interested but I think you know them. They are in that class with the big haired buffoon who crashed the campaign last night.”

“Ah, yeah, Howell. I’ll have to talk to him.”

“You probably should not. He does not seem to have much to afford beyond hair and teeth.” Robert sniffed. “You deserve a bit more refinement than that.”

“Thanks. It’s been fun but Grace and I have to get going.”

In the wan light of his lantern, Robert’s disappointed moue won him no points with Al. “Must you? I was hoping you and I could go to the union and talk.”

Al held up her hands. “No can do! Thanks, though, maybe another night. I can’t let Grace walk back by herself.”

“I am more than willing to walk Grace back to campus. I was not planning on leaving her out her on her own. I am a gentleman after all,” he replied in his best haughty tone.

“It was pretty scary there at the end. I’d rather not be alone,” Grace said, opening the clasps on her carpet bag purse.

Al swept a hand to her. “I think I should stay with her. Seriously another night, okay?”

was spent looking at San Antonio Texas and making myself a little nuts over the whole trip. I don't particularly WANT to go to Texas but there's not much choice.

I'm thinking of doing this Big Sightseeing Tour For the 60$ I get all day being carted around. My only fear is not enough time at any one place. Also it just tells me the 'highlights' of the tour. I want to know how long in each place.

I'd like this if I can get to it (this tour group does go out there too I think...) Natural Bridge Cave but I'm not sure I'm up to more than the wussiest of trails.

and I know I put this up before but I lost where so here it is again. These I won't have to skip out on any part of my conference to do. Sisters Grimm Ghost tour and I'm laughing that they have a more expensive version that allows us in the haunted Menger hotel. I'm staying there!

and there's also Bad Wolf Ghost tour which I really want to do the pub crawl so I'd either have to suck up after flying all day or stay an extra day to do.

ANd I guess the rest of my time will be cruising the river walk.

Keep me in your thoughts. I need to go to the podiatrist on monday to see what's up with my heel. I'm putting a TENS unit on it right now. It was a VERY hard thing for me to do, seeing a podiatrist. I wanted to go see one whose son I had in class. He graduated from the same pod med school I did but a few years ahead of me. I called and he retired...god that hit like a freaking runaway truck. All that disappointment and pain and the feeling of unfairness, of that I gave up too soon came rushing in.

Other than getting out of here to go see my friend for an hour, there was no happiness or anxiety free moments to this day.

I stopped at work to print out the notes for this summer class me and DM are substituting for. THey had the book for me. I about died. It's a DK book. As in Discovery KIDS! It's a fucking grade school book. The notes are about at the level of 7th grade health class. I swear to god I about died. I was so disappointed. I think this is an embarrassment. Yes, this is a certificate class for medical coding and pharm tech but my god, really? If anyone fails ....

I went to meet my friend at Tuscany's for lunch. It was good. Yay finally have someone here who like calamari. Crunching tentacles made me feel better.

I forgot to mention I also bought this Chewbacca Shirt yesterday. I'm not a huge Chewie fan but this juxtaposition with the iconic Bigfoot pose made me laugh.

I got out my summer dress clothes and want to throw them all out and start over. Sigh. I should donate some of these. They're old.

Also WHY is it almost 90? I was officially hotter here than Daytona Beach. And I get home today to find my landlord's wife and the old one-legged guy who watches everyone (but is very nice to me) in my garden which is a wreck. It DOES need to be rotatilled or at least weedwhacked carefully so not to kill the perennials. They're in there criticizing and tearing things up. I think they might give me a weedwhacker. I'm doubting it. I'm pretty annoyed with them. I'm sure though they're annoyed with how it looks. At least the guy asked me how my shoulders were. Sigh.
