it's good to know
Sep. 29th, 2011 10:28 pmThat in spite of this recent terribly flare of pain in my shoulder that I haven't lost strength. Today was the first day I felt like it was in my best interest to pick up PT again and the yellow (easiest) theraband was too easy for me. I started there thinking not to aggravate it. Second rep I did the red (mid-weight) and it was pretty easy too. I'll stick with it for now but I should be back up to the green which is where I should be but had to be sure not to irritate it.
I see the surgeon tomorrow. I dread this. My students don't since i had to cancel a class.
There is an anime girl, freshman from the looks of her at school. She's looked dour every time I've seen her. I get this hit that she's probably always been the odd girl out (especially in these parts). Last week she had on a Flamel cloak but was too far ahead of me to catch her without looking like a freak racing after her. She was outside my office today waiting to get into L's lab so I told her I liked the cloak. Her eyes lit up and she told me how much she loves my office door (covered in anime pics). I think I made someone happy.
I had my class in stitches today. Never ever hand me a straight line.
The Wynd hotel called me tonight after 830. It's a hotel ELD and I stayed in last year. I answered because caller ID said Missouri and a friend just moved there. I thought it might be her. No, they wanted to ask me about my stay and i answered you know that was over a year ago and then they asked what i look for in a vacation and I hung up. I know that is mean but i'm no longer in the mood to have telemarketers try to manipulate me to stay on the line. I just hang up. rude, yes but so is calling me at something to nine at night to cajole me into using your hotel chain again. I mean ELD and I picked it because it was the only one in our budget that didn't have reports of bugs in it.
