I wrote a 574 word fic. Tomorrow after it's mellowed some, I'll edit it. So hopefully, I'll add more words than I take away. :D

For day 24 able to add a few more paragraphs for the co-writing thing I signed up a couple days ago. First time in a long while I wrote something with someone else and am excited for the end result.

I hope the cowriting ends up fun (I've had mostly good experiences with it personally)

How does co-writing work? I've seen people do it. I can't imagine it being anything other than frustrating. Don't you have to depend on the other person a lot?

You do and it can be. First I would never try this unless a) you know the person well and are friendly b) know your styles are at least similiar

because man, you may completely disagree on where the story is going so I would outline and hash things out before you write word one.

Mostly my experiences have been good but there have been projects that have stalled that I'd love to work on but the other person isn't interested so there's a lot of man hours invested with nothing much to show for it.

Yes, that makes sense. I think I don't know anyone well enough to even try it. I guess that's where my reticence comes from and I should trust it. *g*

I am pretty happy writing on my own, anyway.

I totally understand. It's not for everyone. I see it a lot in fandom because people get to know each other on the various fandom boards but I'm also seeing it professionally within publishing houses. There is one or two authors at my publishing house that I'd love to try it with but they write SO much faster than I can these days.

So yeah writing on your own is fun in its own way.

I wrote a couple hundred words on a fic that I'd started a while back. This inability to write consistently is killing me. :(

I'm sorry. I definitely know what it's like to not to get to write as much as you want because of time.
