Snowflake Challenge

Day 1

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

Honestly most of these will be slightly older because I didn't post up 90% of what I wrote in 2014. I've been in a strange headspace as far as fandom is concerned.

Sorrow’s Child This was my Fullmetal Alchemist big bang that I'm not finished fiddling with. It's really not been shared around at all.

And Never Die This is Spike/Drusilla (in Woodstock!) from my first online fandom (I had many in the years before the internet but Buffy the Vampire Slayer was my first fandom when I moved online).


Monkey See, Monkey Do Saiyuki, I don't noodle around with this fandom much any more but as I said, I've been working more on my original fiction in the last two years and not reposting fanworks like I should.

The New Year is off to a wobbly start

Mom is now rampagingly ill with some upper respiratory thing that I'll probably get and naturally she's refusing to go to urgent care. Sigh. My cousin is in the hospital too after blacking out and has neuropathy in her feet (I say it's the thyroid meds for the latter as she is not diabetic)

I have so much I need to do but all I really did was help her take down the holiday cards, cut some of them into tags for next year and the rest will be going to St. Jude’s recycled card program in theory because the cards from last year are sitting in my living room. Yeah.

I watched a lot of The Simpsons and the day flittered away even though I didn't get up late. I'm not sure where it went. Sigh. I just have NO motivation to get ready for work, mostly because I don't want to go back there. At least I have my friends in Athens to keep me sane.

I also did my first post for the Snowflake challenge which is a fandom challenge. Check it out here I love seeing challenges that are so fandom friendly. Speaking of which check out 12_daysofficmas. I just put up my first Jenny/Vastra story tonight.

I didn't come across any new reading challenges (If you do, pass them on!) I decide that in addition to my read 50 books a year challenge, I'll try to read one book for every letter of the alphabet.

As is tradition, I do have one new year's resolution other than the writing ones I've already shared. I plan to try to eat even better AND post the recipes for my 100 things challenge. That seems less pressure than saying I'll lose X # of pounds and better too. If we eat better, the weight takes care of itself.
