2015's misery train keeps going
Apr. 12th, 2015 12:13 amSometimes live streaming sucks. I'm watching Stuart’s Opera House burning and wow...it's such an important place locally. It's a historic landmark, a provider of some amazing entertainment and is haunted and it's burning. Sobs.
ETA- It looks like it's the art gallery next door that's burning. The reports are now saying the fire is out but Stuart's IS heavily damaged by smoke/water but at least that's better than burning down. This is the second time this has happened to things I like here. Last year it was Jackie O's which I thought had burned from first reports but also ended up mostly damaged by smoke/water.
On Monday my secretary's sister was in a van taking her to dialysis and it was in a major accident breaking several of her bones including her hip. I happen to really like her sister. I've been at her house. I taught her daughter. I helped with said daughter's wedding. We talked arts and crafts and like me she had more than one chronic illness.
Unfortunately ALL of hers were serious and not just the diabetes. (she had lupus and leukemia as well). They couldn't operate. They were going to immobilize her and Secretary asked me how bad was it going to be. I said bad. She'll get pneumonia. Within 24 hours she had it. Within 48 hours she was gone.
I really hate this year. Outside of my writing, it sucks. Everywhere I look friends and family are dying.
