Things I forgot

Since nothing exciting happened today, let me say a few things I forgot.

At Bob Evans farm fest I literally almost walked into a snow leopard. I came around a tent and boom, snow leopard.She was breath taking. I wanted SO bad to touch her but naturally I didn't even ask (others did). They were down from the Columbus zoo.

At the Renn fest I saw two of the oldest cosplayers ever (I think they might have been a couple. Easily 70+, two old men were in full on Italian doublets and hose. One had to use a walker to get around. I thought about getting a photo but they looked very harried and exhausted at that point so I didn't bother them.

Saying goodbye to another friend

We haven't even had Joanne's memorial service nor the one for my aunt's brother and I learned today another friend passed on. Linda R (as opposed to the other L I talk about here) was older than me, probably in her mid-late 60s. I've known her since at least the 90s if not longer.

I knew her Elfquest fandom. She was found dead in her trailer and we only know because two other EQers were in her address book and the police called, looking to see if they knew any relatives.

As far as we know she was alone. Apparently with no plans for final arrangements. It's another reminder that I NEED to finish my will.

2015 has been one long funeral

What a day

Yesterday I had a message to call for my doctor's appt. SO I did but no one knows who called. They THINK it's the automated system but that doesn't help if you see multiple doctors at that clinic. Didn't find out who wanted me to see them. Eye roll.

I got up to Kroger's today. Sunday ended their 'tour of Italy.' Here's the weird thing, they didn't even let the specialty items get old. They had ALL the imported meat and cheese on special. Prosciutto not for the usual 5$ a pack. 1.50. I bought it ALL. Cleared the damn shelf. That stupid, delicious chestnut wrapped cheese I bought for 8$ last week? two bucks.I bought twelve dollars worth. Parmesan cheese marked good til Feb. 2016. 1.50 a bag. Cleared them out to. Fuck sharing. I hoard food on my best day. Fantastic imported Italian food? This is why I have a freezer.


I thought my sugar was sky high because I ate chocolate, maple syrup candy, cotton candy, frosted mini wheats (it's been a bad week after all) and cider AND raman noodles but i'm dizzy because it's low. I can't even imagine why. And what if I hadn't ate like an idiot? Would I be here typing this. I really really need to make out my will. Getting too old to not have one.

I don't know why I like Scream Queens. Maybe it's the absolute homage to 80s horror flicks complete with music. They're doing a good job with the vacuous sorority girls (imagine Cordelia and the Cordettes faced with what they consider a terrible pledge crew of non-perfect, non-Caucasian girls. Heck, Charisma is ON the show). It's stupid and doing it very well. I can't imagine this will be an ongoing series though.
