Happy Boxing Day

I didn't get any pictures uploaded yet or any work done because I've been so busy getting ready for company I didn't want (I.e prejudice girl). And after spending nearly two hours down saving the new PPTX files for my class before I left Ohio, I found not ONE of them actually saved as a ppt which means I can't open them on Dad's ancient Microsoft Office. Head desk.

I did get a new netbook but I haven't configured any of it yet. If it doesn't have Office (which given how cheap it was I'm sure it doesn't) I hope Open Office will open these or I'm truly fucked. Sigh.

Actually Prejudice Girl and her husband were on their best behavior. You wouldn't know (as I didn't for years) what's really hiding inside them if you saw them tonight. They were pleasant and funny. It was Lucky Uncle's wife who was the giant pain in the ass. She always bitches about everything but she was really bad tonight. She did crack her vertebrae almost three months ago and she has been milking this ever since expecting to be waited on hand and foot, canceling the dinner tommorrow (but on the sly asking over the only niece and nephew that really matter, her brother's kids) Absolutely nothing was good enough for her today. Eye roll.

Lots of Fusion X (french vodka, mango/blood orange/passion fruit liquor) helped

Writerly Ways

I wanted to write today. Instead I'm doing battle with a damn new chromebook. Can anyone tell me if I can put libre office on a Chrome OS without it being a problem? Upgrades from it are twice the damn price and I don't want to spend that much.

Still haven't written my stocking shit. Sigh.

As for me, mine are simple but I fail at them every time. A) polish Splinters of Silver & Cold Iron and find an agent B) finish Beneath a Torn Sky (maybe as April's camp Nano) C) if possible revamp poor Machiavelli Moon & D) start on the sequel to Splinters. I would like it to be this year's nano

Tonight I had the worst 30$ pizza from Chicago. Prejudice Girl gave them to my parents. NONE of us liked it.I wouldn't pay 30$ for a good pizza let alone a tiny tasteless deep dish.
