It's winter finally
Jan. 20th, 2016 10:57 pmToday it snowed. Not much, less than an inch but there was ice under it and everyone was driving like idiots. 70 mph in some places 25 in others. Neither extreme was called for. I was exhausted. I have a very long day on Wed and I wasn't going to go to Jackson to stock up for the huge snow predicted on Friday/Saturday (12-24 inches. Wee). But I was so tired I missed my exit and headed right onto Jackson.
I'm amused at people's emergency supply choices. Me I picked up things I can eat cold, fibrous fruits, veggies, rotissiere chicken, bread, peanut butter, crackers etc. the things they were sold out of were dip and chips, anything resembling taco/tortilla fixings, cheap beer and frozen pizza. Now some of that might be for playoff weekend but really??
My friend seems at peace with the diagnosis from the doctor basically rest and PT. I'm glad that's the answer.
My bacteria still isn't here. I'm not amused.
I was too tired to cook off anything for the upcoming blizzard (I like to prepare meals that can be eaten cold) I did get eggs boiled and I have cooked bacon and a shit ton of cheese so that will have to do. Cross your fingers that if the storm does hit, my power stays on and I'll do the same for you.
Here's hoping if I AM snowed in this weekend, I can write something without being distracted by everything.
